Big vatnik armor column is currently getting pummeled in Kursk

Look like the permission to use western weapons inside Russia is already paying dividends.

I'm beginning to think Russian intelligence doesn't follow western news
They had weeks of warning and even knew the exact, specific parts of Russia that Ukraine would be allowed to target
Wtf happened, didn't these guys used to be masters of intelligence?

Russian intelligence/security services hate each other and often conspire against each other. The FSB hates the GRU and SVR, the SVR hates the FSB and GRU, all three hate the "boots" (army), and the regular police hate everyone else. And Rosgvardia is also hated by everyone and it also hates everyone, including itself, because the Chechen Rosgvardia is practically independent of the federal Rosgvardia and often opposes it, and the various regional offices argue with each other, to the point of stabbing each others' officers. So yes, the Russian neo-feudal system is much more fragile and dysfunctional than most people think, and so far the only figure who works like a godfather or like a spider who weaves them all together is Putin, and only his direct orders are obeyed and followed, though sometimes it takes the form of an Italian strike (or work-to-rule), like with those Sims 3 discs that were "found" in a "Nazi hideout" instead of sim-cards.
Tl;dr: there is little coordination and cooperation between all these services and groups, so no wonder these things keep happening.

add to this that russians often see western media as being just like theirs, full of state-propaganda, no actual reporting, and extreme saber rattling they have no intention of following through on, and you can see why they're shocked when the west does what it says it's going to.

Soviet armor tactics were literally to drive around in column formation for speed until you got shot at, and then back up and deploy into a tactical formation for the attack... and then once you had taken the enemy's position, you formed back into column and kept driving.

It worked great--in tabletop wargames. A decent part of Air-Land Battle was finding and killing those columns with aircraft and long-range missiles like Lance.

More complaining from the Puccians about the armor columns getting hit hard, no images yet as far as I know, but all the vatnik telegram whining make me think it's real unless they are all having a collective hallucination.

Let's not forget the most important stage:
      7. Copelord points out that the Russian collapse looks, on a map, exactly as though the AFU is being drawn into the cauldron and goes into a masturbatory frenzy of anticipation.

Only the Americans and the krauts are pulling this homosexualry with the Ukrainians being only allowed to strike around Kharkiv border.

USA/DEU saying "don't use our weapons on Russia" doesn't mean they're fine with non-American/German weapons weapons being used. They're saying 'you shouldn't attack at all', but only realistically can direct that for their own commitments.
This wouldn't matter for small contributors, but American and Germany are large and moreover influential and can engage in tortious interference with other countrys' donations that ARE fine with striking into Russia.

The moment both said 'fine' with anything around Kharkiv is when things got actually dangerous , and at that point the RU MoD should have scaled back and repositioned. Not make a convoy.

      >was it autism
      No.
Many people in Ru GenStaff are tired of this war. Some have relatives and friends in Ukraine, some just didn't expect it to be something more serious and prolonged than a 3-day special operation. That's why they sometimes give such orders, which at first glance look extremely moronic, but if you consider what I wrote above, they make some sense: the more troops and equipment you waste for nothing, the faster the war ends, simply because there are no resources and manpower to fight with. But this war has 2 possible endings: either Russia admits its defeat/inability to win and retreats from at least Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions and then returns to the "frozen" status quo from before 2022 with the possibility of withdrawing from Crimea and Donbas after the post-war peace talks, or the monke chimps out and starts throwing nukes here and there after he sees that he can't achieve his goals with conventional methods, but in this scenario he can be preemptively stopped with a scarf and snuffbox.
