It happened, but was discontinued. A lot of people buy 10/22's to plink, and the considerable increase in price for 22WMR makes plinking cost-prohibitive for many people. Ruger also made the 10/22 in 44mag, called the Ruger Model 44. Would be great for states that only allow straight-walled cartridges and slugs these days, but unlikely Ruger will re-release either, unfortunately. Both versions are pretty much unobtanium today.
that's unfortunate >cost prohibitive plinking
yeah I agree I was more interested in it for small game and maybe even defensive use for women lol
and just for fun
Yeah 22WMR is the ultimate small-medium game/varmint round. No recoil, great accuracy, plenty quiet, and excellent terminal ballistics for small-medium game out to like 250yd
Anyone else's 10-22 shoot incredibly high? I have a scope on now so it isn't an issue, but the sights were worthless and I was shooting beyond adjustment.

I personally would take a hypothetical Ruger .357mag carbine over either of those, but it seems like they never made one for some reason
I agree. It'd be the literal perfect deer and boar carbine for hunting East of the the Mississippi river.

Could've been the ammo you were using, try a bunch of different brands
Oh, I did. 3 brands anyway. That's why I was so shocked.
Yeah that's weird then, guess you got a slight lemon
Yes, I'm at 9200'.
I have this problem, but with a M&P-15-22 instead.
honestly, yeah, 10/22 is god tier
