the Humvees in a ditch really bother me, one went forward into it and one went backwards into it, even if they were occupied and the guys inside were under fire and managed to reverse and drive forward into the ditch then get out and ditch their vehicle under such close fire they'd probably be shot and killed which means there'd be blood and bodies. The hole wasn't created by a bomb because then the vehicles would be utterly fricked so why are they in the hole in the first place.

It's filled with logs, it's clearly a trench or trap. Still makes no sense.

          Anonymous

          >Still makes no sense.

          I'd think something like:
          >Humvees driving along at decent speed
          >run over top of tunnelled-out trench/bunker/whatever (we know from the training video they are taught to tunnel deep under the side so you might think you're far enough away but actually close) or just underground structure of some sort
          >shittily constructed vatnik fortifications collapse under weight of fat uparmoured humvee
          >humvees gets stuck, crew bails (right hand one in particular looks to have been abandoned in a hurry)
          >hours later Russian drone spots this and calls it in
          >ordinance dropped on it, possibly missing and further collapsing whatever it is they are on top of
          >aftermath filmed for propaganda

That'd explain why you see no blood and bodies, basically just stumbling across stuff hours after the fact. Also not sure that the video and the photo are the same place since the building doesn't quite match up and I see more vehicles in the video.

It doesn't look at all like a crater to me. Only an aerial photo would sway me so we can see the shape and potential impact. Even then, it could be a shot that missed. Those vehicles don't make sense. They're not even covered in dirt ffs.

        Anonymous

In aerial footage you can see that its a log covered trench, my best guess is they were driving in parallel and both fell into the same ditch because you can't see shit in a hmmv and one got stuck nose first and the other got its ass stuck and both were abandoned rather than taking five seconds to pull them out for some reason. Either that or they were abandoned and then the Russians pulled them into the trench

Armatard is some very autistic and obsessed vatnik who plagues this board, he really loves to make up scenarios in his head and to view things from strangely limited and artificial angels only to then endlessly parrot about them while not allowing to actually talk about the whole picture since then his little mind construct usually collapses very fast. Now go through the post-chain and look at what is happening, not saying it's the guy, but he certainly shares or borrowed some traits of him.

The last pic in that post shows the vehicles partly in a hole. Pics in other posts show some sort of wooden structure in the bottom of the hole. Could be just the crater from the bomb that was dropped on them, except bomb craters on dirt ground don't normally reveal structures below. But we could be just overthinking it; the town is a slum by western standard and it could be a sewer or a paved-over garbage dump.

We have very sad information about the burnt corpse. It is alleged that the video shows the corpse of a Russian soldier. Whether it is the one who was captured or the one who was killed almost immediately is unknown.
Further more. We have information that "high-precision strikes" were inflicted on standing equipment, some of which were brought to the place for the "beauty of the strike."
We cannot say the same about strikes on moving vehicles, but we need to wait for the video and photos from the places of these strikes from the RF Ministry of Defense. Will they?
And what about the list of killed saboteurs? Definitely, the authorities of the Russian Federation will not forget about it, I'm sure it's simple.

They took a corpse from a morgue that already had the skull opened by saw during autopsy, shoved it inside a car, shot it with rifles and set a fire to make it look like a terrorist attack.
There's no fricking away someone's skull can be cut open with straight cuts in an explosion, and the holes are clearly gunfire rather than fragmentation.

This Russians-faked-vehicle-destruction narrative is chimpanzee level. Bakhmut was lost. Ukraine launched a TikTok raid to grab some of the spotlight from the Bakhmut defeat, and a few Western vehicles got hit (perhaps after being abandoned for whatever reason).

      Anonymous

More than likely they were blown up after already being abandoned yes. You'll also see that happen to Russian tanks that have been abandoned/mobility killed then abandoned with carefully cut drone footage on occasion. Basically any time a vehicle is blow up while stationary and not actively fighting and you don't get to see combat footage leading up to it you should assume it was abandoned first.

      >perhaps after being abandoned for whatever reason
Got stuck, ran out of fuel, got damaged, vital component broke, tire burst and occupants didn't want to risk replacing one in the field, vehicle was on its last legs anyway and they didn't plan to bring it back e.g. planned to escape in on foot at night to avoid drones that Russia does in fact have despite memes, occupants got cut-off after dismounting and left them. All of the above are possible in war. One of the many reasons good logistics matter and again that's why Russia's vehicle losses have been so hilariously high.

the Humvees in a ditch really bother me, one went forward into it and one went backwards into it, even if they were occupied and the guys inside were under fire and managed to reverse and drive forward into the ditch then get out and ditch their vehicle under such close fire they'd probably be shot and killed which means there'd be blood and bodies. The hole wasn't created by a bomb because then the vehicles would be utterly fricked so why are they in the hole in the first place.

My assumption was they didn't crash rather they were already abandoned and the hole is from explosives dropped on them after the fact for propaganda recordings.
      >The hole wasn't created by a bomb because then the vehicles would be utterly fricked so why are they in the hole in the first place.
Might be they were on top of some sort of hollow underground bunker/structure in the first place that collapsed after the explosion. Getting stuck in the above-ground elements of that could also account for why they got abandoned in the first place. Something about the photo screams 'sinking into existing hole' more than a crater.

but anon... why were the vehicles abandoned?

          Anonymous

Any one of the giant list of reasons I gave is possible. Just getting stuck is enough to abandon a vehicle in a combat situation particularly if the troops are decently trained and have confidence they will just get a replacement.

However it's also possible the Russians took the vehicles there, yes, but even then I'd assume they were from the same attack rather than believing Russia is competent enough to have spare western vehicles around maintained well enough to be moved to a location like this in under 24 hours. Even if they had the logistical sense to recover them from elsewhere first of all and also to prevent some other unit stealing it for their own use, which they don't.

            Anonymous

            >maintained well enough to be moved

You do understand that there's such a thing as flatbeds, right? Grabbing some old wrecks that are sitting on a nearby junkyard doesn't exactly take a lot of effort if you get lucky.

              Anonymous

That's possible also but pretty tight to get it done in ~24 hours unless you happened to have the wrecks really close to hand (less, since you wouldn't move them in until the area was safe assuming it was actually done in a plausible location) and would require a crane as well plus take hours to set-up plus hours beforehand to organise because Russia is incompetent in general.

Lots of activity with heavy vehicles that would also churn the ground up like crazy and one gay with a smartphone at the wrong point could record you moving it and humiliate you even more than already. Or come to think of it satellites or the commercial-grade drones Ukraine has a lot of. Like I said I don't think it's impossible but the simple explanation is just blowing up abandoned shit. Though if a video pops up in the next few days of the Russians moving the stuff on flatbeds I will have to eat my words.

You're moronic if you think this will have a significant impact on Russian forward deployment. Yes they'll have to start keeping reserves back home and they probably overextended to finish bakhmut.
What thay should tell you is now was a good time for a raid. Not that the raid is going to divide Russia's army when the local police should be able to handle it.
This is clearly about propaganda above all. Tears down the bakhmut victory to essentially meaningless to the average Russian, who is now thinking about whether or not they're safe in their own borders. Ukraine benefits from doubt in Russia.

Black person what police can stop armored humvees with belt feds and soldiers with AT? Some random Barney Fife equivalent with a makarov is going to stop them?

A couple dedicated guys with rifles could decimate a police force in the US. Dorner scared the entire LAPD by himself. Granted our cops are fat and worthless but I don’t expect much out of them in vodkaland either

I’m aware of all the DOD surplus a lot of police forces have. But at the end of the day they are all shooting back with rifles or shotguns. When you meet someone with the same vehicle and equal or better arms, what do you do? Also cops are cowards it’s not like they’ll risk themselves to help others

Comparing police forces in Eastern Europe to USA is not fair. USA's police force outguns entire countries in terms of equipment. Eastern Bloc police forces likely have a few AK74U in the cellar and a few cold war helmets for SWAT purposes, honestly not much else. An armoured jeep would make them run like hell.

The footage was on /misc/ at some point, the first assault seems to have involved 2 T-72s and 9 Humvees worth of troops. Border post got blown up, scaring almost all of the guards off, then the infantry cleared the area, shot the one guy who stood and fought, and the operation continued.

This feels like splitting hairs to me. Even if Russia staged some humvees for a photo op, we pretty much all know that Ukraine is supplying the rebels with intel, equipment and training, right?
I mean the juiciest bit of info to come out of those National Guard leaks was confirmation that that attack on Machulishchy air base was carried about by rogue SBU agents. It's the one from the 'Status of the Conflict as of Mar 1' document; check it in the archives, since I'm not gonna risk posting it.
Even though the SBU determined that their agents performed the attack per classified US intel, it was blamed on 'Belarusian partizans.' If the SBU was involved in bombing an air base, then you bet your ass they're involved in a coordinated mechanized assault from within Ukrainian territory.
Like worst case scenario Ukraine backed this incursion and Russia faked the humvees to have a 'smoking gun' of something Ukraine actually did, just to make it obvious for their room temp IQ populace. Trying to deny Ukrainian involvement in this is just bullshit political maneuvering.
This isn't some vatnik post, either. I could give less of a frick if the AFU themselves invaded Belgorod; Russia started shit and is now getting hit. I just get frustrated by deception.

Dude. The Ukrainians are using the exact same words the Russkies used to deny that they had anything to do with the Little Green Men back in 2014. The sarcasm is so thick, you could cut it with a knife. The Ukies are trolling, and we're going along with it because it's funny.

I could read the Ukrainian's sarcasm, but I wasn't sure if the people responding in turn were also being sarcastic, or unable to read their sarcasm themselves and taking it literally.

Yeah, one of the guys rolling with the Russians is an Ukrainian SBU agent.

i guess i understand why you find that frustrating but im not sure you appreciate that the Russians and the Ukrainians share the same basis for their intelligence services, and all sorts of other shit. The main difference now is how superior the Ukrainians are in actually exercising their plans compared to Russia. Its like the entire thing has been turned on its head. Its a tit for tat combined with the vastly superior ability of the Ukrainians to control the conversation. Just look at the twitter OSINT shennanigans for example. Where it seems like every conversation is dominated by those shrieking morons with the doge avatars trying to denounce people for posting anything contrary to a sweeping Ukrainian victory in every engagement. Its just part of how they fight war.

Yeah I don't see how it's a loss either. There's a -lot- of border to cover and if they can't even deal with this fairly important location in a timely manner, what's top stop a whole series of border-raids spread far apart?

Putin is a bigger traitor than they ever could be, they are just forced to act against people the traitor uses to shield himself. What you are doing here is the essence of disingenuous behavior. Same reason why everyone is shitting your cope and attempts to flip the actual situation on the head.

All I wanted to say that these men are traitors by definition as they took up arms and shot their own fellow country men while employed by foreign military. I personally find it disgusting. Don’t like it, change the definition of word traitor.

It's literally quoted in the post you are replying to, don't even pretend you aren't implying it. Frick you are even doing it again:
    >What I was saying is that both Putin and these men can be seen as traitors. One is metaphorical (ie Putin) and other one literal (Russian citizens shooting other Russian citizens).
No real further distinguishing, nothing. You even go the extra mile of making look Putin less evil despite him being responsible for far more and far worse.

You don't want to really come to a conclusion, you want to keep the situation in an artificial early stage, because everything that comes after that just shows how faulty your argument actually is.

Sorry to ruin your day and your overblown image of yourself, but your cheap attempts are not working.

It is not though, you are just too stupid to understand information that is not spoon fed to you. I clearly drew the line here, direct and premeditated actions to harm their your citizens is what makes you a traitor:
      > You can’t however say that Putin took a gun and shot his own country men, took orders and training from a dif government to attack his own citizens, carries symbolism of a dif country as he does those things and uses dif country. Things that are done by traitors.

I didn’t explore Putin in depth because it was brought up as what aboutism and you can’t claim with proof that the actions he took where made with the sole intention to harm his own country men. It is a by product of bad decisions and only having yes men around. While I can see how it may be perceived as such, that on its own, however, doesn’t make him a traitor by definition. You are pulling your perception out of your ass without backing up the claims that he is a bigger traitor then people literally shooting their own country men while being a part of foreign military.

Yes, I didn’t start my argument in the best way because what caught my eye is clear indication of where the allegiance of those men is at.

How is the person enforcing Putins rule, who harms Russia and russians not a traitor? How is covering yourself in russians not a traitorous behavior?
It's a bit too convenient to call someone a traitor just because someone else uses others as a shield.

You whine about me not understanding what you tell me, so let me repeat myself: If you start this journey of making a point, but then stop at the first 2 inches, when everything is still nicely theoretical and philosophical just so you can construct some faulty artificial conclusion, then everyone knows what your actual goal was, blurring the lines, twisting a situation upside down to reach the predefined goal.

I mean, i can also say, everyone can be a traitor in someones eyes, but what does that actually help? Why even say something so vague and ambiguous.
You are trying to shame those rebels, you ignore how they have a reason to act so and that i wasn't them that created this situation that didn't allow any other real way to act.

You can write ten more posts, you still won't convince anyone of you just doing it to just say something, anything negative about the Free Russian Legion.

Why construct this artificial new rule that Putin needs to personally harm someone directly? Why the special rule for him? Is a traitor a less of a traitor because he orders those actions instead of doing them himself?

This is how stupid you are arguing, and it is even with full intention, you need to construct the whole argument in those fake constraints, because the moment the situation actually gets looked at, the predefined goal can't be reached anymore.

There are only two possibilities, you are either a fricking liar who just has a not so hidden goal, or you fricking suck at actually looking at the situation, conveying your point and are too stupid to realize it. Either way you got what you deserve.

Yes, yes, the old cope, it doesn't matter, you weren't trying to convince anyone, everyone here is just stupid and ignorant except you. Imagine actually saying something like this stupid after failing to achieve anything but looking like a disingenuous shill.
