Beating the Russian military is EASY. Just use one easy step.

We've seen Russians will fight without proper clothing, without transport, without proper medical equipment, without decent food, without training, without proper leadership. They fight with sheer numbers.

But what's the one thing the Russians absolutely NEED?

AMMO.

They cannot function without ammunition. The Russian army is not a limitless horde of convicts & mobiks, it is a finite supply of bullets and shells. Without ammo, all the manpower on Earth can't do fricking shit.

To use a Die Hard saying, "Shoot the glass!". Home in on the Russian ammo supplies. The depots, the stockpiles, the manufacturing, the fricking foreign imports, the shipments on trains, the shipments on trucks. Sanction it, destroy it, fricking steal it.

Russians are so fricking wasteful on ammo to even crawl forward, that the more ammo is taken from them, the less dangerous they become.

No ammo = no threat.

My point is, stop being afraid of Russia's NUMBERS. People are fixating on the wrong fricking thing.

Just home on in their bullets and shells, and all that manpower is useless.

It's more like, what makes you think this isn't already being done? All those explosions in russian ammo storages are happening for a reason.

ukrainians should get some sort of long range missile launching system and target the enemy's ammo dumps

Not good enough. Bring the war to Russia's military ammo manufacturing. Sabotage it all. And sanction all weapons imports into the country.

Russians are stupid barbarians high on "Muh Mighty Russian Empire". They'd immediately go off on some schizo rant about "Nazi-NATO bio-labs" if they read this.

This board is shit. OP raised by helicopter parents with no barometer for the real world and no thought that people have not thought about this. Thier ammo is domestic anyway moron. Why don't you assemble a team of /k/edditors and hit their depots

What a surprising response. Feel free to call up the Ukrainian Spetz Alpha Group and tell them to hit the depot's. Then call the US DOD for a Fulton Recovery system. I guarantee none of them have thought about hitting their ammo supply.

For frick's sake, we're not going to shell everything. We're going to sabotage way more than we shell.

Without even flinching at your post......use Ukrainian Spec Ops and Russian separatists & anti-Putin Russians. All those depots and factories need to go up in fricking flames.

See how wienery Wagner is without BULLETS.

Russians use trains mainly to move ammo across the country, especially I imagine from North Korean sources. Wipe out the locomotives. Freight cars don't go anywhere without the engines to pull them.

Right, of course, duh. Why didn't literally anyone who invaded Russia before think to do all this? I'm shocked that we don't still have the 3rd Reich around considering it must have been OBVIOUS to Hitler that he could just bomb everything in the Russian far east.

I'll go call up Zaluzhniy right now and tell him to fly what's left of the Ukrainian Air Force 3000+ miles into Russia and begin strategic bombing of several dozen factories, depots, and railyards all at once, undetected.

    >The one county that has sent men into battle without guns before and told them to scavenge guns off of dead men in the trenches once they made it further to the front.

They started send men at the Germans and Austrians without guns two whole years before the Russian people finally decided they should remove the Tsar. This won't work.

Not even the most incompetent move of the war. Austria gave their guys guns, but no footwear or winter clothes and didn't provide for how snow effects the transport of supplies while attacking OVER the Carpathians, in the winter. They lost 80,000 men from the weather, although they still managed to dislodge the Russians because they were also incredibly poorly provisioned.

      >Russians start sending in men without guns

Then give Ukrainians melee weapons and stab & bash any Russians who manage to get close enough to begin a fist-fight.

Personally I'd go with modernized maces and knives. Maces for when you have enough space for a swing, and knives for extreme close-quarters.

(Seriously, a close-quarters fight against a mass of ex-convicts is going to be ugly. You're going to need a lot of brutal weapons)

          Brutal weapons you say?

It sounds like it is finally time for chainsaw bayonets and under barrel flamethrowers!

Close quarters charges? Might I interest you in a belt fed automatic shotgun?

Sanctioning Russian ammo imports was a mistake. We've seen multiple instances where the American consoomer has helped disarm the Russians just by sending his dollars to some grifter. If Americans were allowed to import any and all Russian equipment their whole military would be disbanded in weeks. Why send a bmp to the front to get blown up, when you can sell it to some Amerishart for $90,000? How many su-25s and mig-29s would Russia be able to field if they got bought up by Silicon Valley billionaires with more money than sense?

    1. Yes, Russians have occasional shortages of some types of ammo, but overall we continue observing significant efforts to organize logistics and move humongous numbers of supplies across entire Russia.
    2. Russian logistical routes have been significantly disrupted multiple times and it forced them to change ways to deliver supplies, and how to transport them. It makes it harder to deliver, but it also makes it safer for them.
    3. Because their logistical routes were disrupted, people falsely assumed that Russians are running out of ammo. This is false and factually incorrect
    4. We continue to observe massive preparations of mobilized units, formations of new regiments, and other organizational units. Unlike initial mobilization, this time they are putting more effort into preparing and supplying units.
    5. Russia continues the build-up of units with emphasis on offensive capabilities, compromised mostly of mobilized mixed with rotated units.
