Battle for robotyne

I’m still really Impressed Ukraine was able to pull this off. Russia invaded 18 months ago they should not be on the defensive losing ground

Pretty great footage. Love that the Bradley has been used as the backbone of ukranian armored pushes. Usually that’s a tanks job

Cheaper, more of them, so they fit the role. And Russia's armor has been degraded they don't have as many tanks themselves. I would prefer hundreds of Leo 1's and hundreds more Bradleys rather than Abrams, but whatever.

No, they've been using them a lot. Challengers have been kept in reserve and MBT usage has also declined. Which makes sense given
        >The USA replaces every Bradley lost 1:1
        >High crew survival means they don't need to train more men for replacement vehicles
Say they did this push with a T-72. It takes an ATGM or mine hit and goes full Kerbal Space Program, incinerating the crew. Now you lose veteran crewmen and have to spend time and money training replacements who will be inexperienced. But the Bradley crews survive almost invariably, so that free replacement is manned by guys who not only have experience, but now have a bone to pick with vatnigs who blew them up.

Absolutely incredible how much the Ukrainians rely on the Bradley

      Anonymous

Most infantry cannot reliably rely on heavy armor support, so even lighter armored vehicles providing close range firepower can shine. And hell, even Bradleys have some limited RPG resistance through upgrade packages.

BAE bought the rights to the Bradley. It was designed by American company United defense. United defense was purchased by bae in 2005

Was BAE claiming they created it back then? No? Now it's a BAE subsidiary, so BAE can legitimately say they created it.

FMC's military branch was spun-off as United Defense in 1994, which was bought out by BAE in 2005. It was designed by an American company and is built in the United States. The only thing British about it is the logo on the sales brochure.

I'm pretty impressed as well. They've deployed a total of 10 brigades and spent three months trying to capture a village of Rabotino. A place 6km south of Orekhovo, the starting point of this offensive. 10km north of the first (1st) defensive line. 30km north of the town of Tokmak. True, they haven't captured it yet. But I mean it's pretty amazing how they were able to pull this one off. Turn a 3-day-dash-to-the-sea-of-Azov into a 3-month-mass-hecatomb-at-the-village-of-Rabotino. Very impressive
