Want to get one, but not sure what is better or more convenient.

Wool. Warm in the winter, and breathable in the summer.

100% Merino wool is good as is high wool content blends such as 90/10. The blends will be more durable. Only go full synthetic if you require burn/melt resistance and in that case get nomex.

just take a shirt of the desired color, take rough measurement of your head and then add to that a a inch or two. cut the outline, sew it up and put it on, then mark the eye holes and cut them up. DIY is the best look

We made a lot of fun of UCK bad sewed balaclavas but if you ever go to the north of Albania and speak to veterans, you realize that these saved a lot of them from a trial before an international court.

This is probably also the case for a lot of actual membre of Kosovo Security Forces, however they are pretty quiet for obvious reason. Albania gov doesn't hunt UCK members anymore, so veterans speak quite easily about the war, like a veteran from a regular european army. For them, there was no such thing as terrorism in UCK.

Kosovo and North Macedonia are more realistic, so the ex-members hide, with reason.

Also, nothing to relate directly, but Albania is very cool.

Cachemere is breathable, soft, doesn't itch, and only takes a few minutes at lower temperatures with wool detergent to clean it. Also with a tiny hint of softener it'd be like being hugged by a lover, a warm vanilla scented lover. And besides, It makes me feel pretty uwu.

A white wool, two holed balaclava, based on the ones ETA used, would be pretty nice. Although they used hoods, but, i think wool balaclavas are better.

The underarmor balaclava is the best I've used. Works perfect in extreme heat and extreme cool. Used it extensively in both and I have no complaints.
