BACK AGAIN - Gas Delayed 9mm Design

The expertise and constructive criticism of this board has been absolutely overwhelming. It has been a few weeks so I wanted to provide an update and get all of your articulated thoughts.

Specs:
- 9mm
- bore axis is < -.25 inches (substantially more than the Laugo Alien which is ~-.06")
- Clamshell aluminum frame design (bolted with anti-rotation) - ease of manufacture + cost
- 5.125" fixed barrel
- gas delayed system (similar to the P7 and Laugo Alien)

Dimensions:
8.0" Long
4.9" Tall
1.2" wide at grip, frame and slide are 1.0"

Some improvements since last time (that I am willing to discuss)

- integrated a rail with no increase to barrel shroud height
- now using modified P365 magazines to get double stack capacity*
- custom base base plate is required. the
low bore axis of the firearm prevents utilizing the existing mag catch slots - no machining required
-10 rnd mag fits flush, capacity beyond 10 rnd will be extended below magwell
-front and rear slide base plates**

*p365 mags have a very similar geometry to other mags, it may be possible to utilize other manufacturer's mags simply by swapping out baseplates (beretta 92FS, etc)

** front and rear slide baseplates are designed under the same methodology as the Glock MOS. this would in theory allow the use of essentially any 3 dot, red dot, or a combination of both by only needed an adapter plate. the length of the rear plate enables flexibility to have youre rear sight in front of or behind your red dot.

If you think that's cool, wait until you find out about 380ACP.

    so it's a laugo alien.
make it in .380 for better suppression, no need for specialty heavy ammo when it's all subsonic.
    also integrate a suppressor.
what i'm saying is make a .380 maxim 9. or .45 for the same reasons

Neat, what about making it more visually interesting? Right now it's kinda plain jane. I am not saying that you ought to rice it out like a Cannick, but something.

If I were to do one I would base it on VP9/P30 pattern magazines, the H&K paddle magazine release system objectively mogs the traditional button one. The only reason it hasn't caught up is people are moronic and unwilling to learn new things.

If the piston is on top, wouldn't you just burn your hand if you touched the slide after dumping a few mags? Maybe look into that, if nothing else dropping the forward serrations and/or adding some kind of insulation could help. Are you actually gonna build this or is it just theoretical? I hope you aren't planning on making a profit, the market is very saturated right now.
