I thought Luka banned price increases in Belarus. Shouldn't poverty be illegal there?

      Not anymore.
      >Over the past weeks, Wargaming has been conducting a strategic review of business operations worldwide. The company has decided it will not own or operate any businesses in Russia and Belarus and will leave both countries.
      >Effective March 31 the company transferred its live games business in Russia and Belarus to local management of Lesta Studio that is no longer affiliated with Wargaming. The company will not profit from this process either today or going forward. Much to the contrary we expect to suffer substantial losses as a direct result of this decision.

They're based in Cyprus with studios in Chicago, Prague, Shanghai, Tokyo, and Vilnius.
Also RIOT bought some studios from them, apparently.

    Is Luka secretly a genius?
Conventional wisdom would have said getting in on the invasion of Ukraine on day one was a great idea, he'd have to do nothing and get his share of the spoils and glory as Ukraine immediately collapsed

His reticence almost seems like he somehow predicted how the war was going to turn out in a way that the CIA, the EU *and* Russia all failed to do

He himself said the day would be over in a few days at the start of the invasion. So either he was playing 5D chess OR russia simply didn't think they would need his troops so he kept them at home to secure internal stability.
