I'd say when you're at the point that you don't shoot a gun bc the rotation is too much + you don't appreciate other value associated with a piece. Be it historical or sentimental.

Lol dude do you not have any friends or coworkers with money? Everyone has their stupid expensive hobby. Some npcs at work have close to 20 grand in funky pops. Fricking funky pops. You have your PC builder nerds, console gamers that have to have every newest console as soon as it comes out bro you gotta start playing the new games asap bro else when you go in you're already behind the curve and at a disadvantage etc then you have the retro console nerds atari 8008135 model must have. Sneakerheads, brandprostitutes, yo check out my new watch that costs more than your glock, it's just like my other ones but this one has a blue face. Guns and ammo are at least things that keep their value you can trade or barter in a pinch serve to protect your life and loved ones if they're not trash. Etc. You need to go out more. You need to meet more people. Nobody cares just don't be a weirdo, having guns and stuff isn't your problem it's not why people might say that you have a problem your problem is that you probably come off as a fricking weirdo man so make sure you clean up make yourself presentable competent and are a good ambassador for the 2nd ammendment.

Shit, it doesn't need to be a hobby or even leave you with a physical good at the end of it.
I'm part of a facebook group that has a "tradition" of posting photos of your fancy watch next to your first class flight tickets. Buying NODs you don't need is nothing compared to blowing $10k+ multiple times a year so your in-flight meal comes with a side of caviar and you can have a shower during your 10-hour flight. FYI, seat A1 comes with the most clout.

depending on how rich someone is, a $10,000 extravagance may be equivalent to a normal consumer's mundane purchases.
When he bought it, Bill Gates' $100,000,000 mansion cost him the same percentage of his total net worth as the average person buying a case of soda

Ehh, most of the Facebook group aren't rich. Upper middle class at most. I'd peg the average income around $200k with maybe a handful up to half a mill.

    >when I realized I had multiple Glock and AR builds planned and I barely shoot as it is.
    >when I was using never gonna happen hypotheticals to justify my autistic hyper-fixations and need to consooom
Now, I have to be able to justify a new gun purchase either for its usefulness or being sufficiently different from anything I already have, I.E. no CZ P10 or Arex Delta if I’m not getting rid of my Glock. It also forces me to actually shoot and familiarize myself with the guns I own.

I realized I was buying new guns that I'd barely, if ever, shoot, and I only really take out the same 4 guns over and over again to actually shoot. I don't enjoy militia larping anymore, it feels like a massive waste of my time.
