Artillery Ammunition

Are his demands actually sound? His claim is that he requested 70% more ammunition than they are receiving.

Is the amount he originally asked for, and asked for again in his seethe video last night even doable? Would it make a difference if that much ammunition was supplied.

Also, is he only referring to artillery, or is this a translation thing and he’s talking about ammunition stocks in general?

Please keep coping, seething, and brain dead pro uke/zigger shit to yourself and keep on topic.

I don't speak vodka and can't into the vatnik mind but
Ukraine has been targeting depots/ammo dumps
    Russia can't into logistics
Wagner and the Russian army have constantly been bickering and are certainly not friends

Is it doable to deliver more ammo? Sure, if anywhere it should be possible in Bakhmut, the only place Russia has managed to concentrate forces in a while. Would it make a difference? Probably not a significant one. If their carpet unguided artillery strategy was effective they wouldn't be bogged down for 9 months already.

Just don't miss with the artillery and you can win with 20% of what ammo russia has

NATO I am Ukrainian soldier, I need ammunition, can you spare some ammunition so we launch counter offensive against the Russians?

Oh sure. I do not see the Ukrainian soldiers having any problem giving Wagner sum ammunition. Now just crawl out of your trenches, stand up tall in a line, and hold still like good vatnics. The Ukrainian soldiers will be giving you a bullet each soon.

Nah. Ukes want to capture Wagnerites alive if they can. Then they can let them go home after the war is over, so they can wreak more destruction.

He is using some moronic math equations to calculate how much ammo he needs. Something like
    >We attack and spend 1000 shells - Ukraine loses 20 guys we lose 100 guys
    >We attack and spend 1500 shells - Ukraine loses 200 guys we lose 10 guys
Or something along these lines. Like homie this isn't how war or artillery works.

In Pigozhin's exact words, he said that if Vaginer got like 4 or 5 times more ammo than they were receiving casualties would be down to 20% at most. Dumbass way of thinking, but mighty Puccia can't do anything without artillery anyway.

I like how no one is asking this moron why he needs 10000 shells to advance 1 meter and still manages to lose 50 guys. This is WW1 levels of incompetence.

It's not incompetence on his part, it's strategic incompetence. You cannot frontally assault a fortified city without taking those kinds of casualties. The problem is Russia being too incompetent to simply flank the city

Is Pigozhin really going to withdraw from Bakhmut on the 10th or is he just blackmailing the Russian MoD
The Russians have sunk so much into Bakhmut that if they backed off now, their propaganda machine would completely collapse.
So is he just saying he's going to back off so as to pressure the Russian mod in to to giving him the resources that he wants or are we about to see the total collapse of the Russian information space?

definetely putting on a show to create public outrage and force MoD to give him all the ammo he wants even at the expense of other fronts. Perfect time for counter offensive (too bad its never actually going to happen)

I doubt he is really going to leave Bahmut altogether, but who knows, he could potentially do a partial withdrawal of some troops if they just ignore him to show he is serious.
The thing is everything in Russia runs like the mafia. If you want something you have to bribe, extort, blackmail, kill or whatever it takes to get it. This time we just get to see it live because he likes to shitpost.

He's requesting more than the MoD is capable of giving him. This all sums up to trying to pretend that Russia has more ammunition that they actually have, and that they're not actually rationing it.

Prigozhin is just trying to weaponize the Russian scandal to either get the stuff he needs at the expense of the rest of the Armed Forces of Russia, or discredit the MoD for not giving it to him.
They all know that the MoD is merely incapable of giving him what he needs.

It's interesting that Putin has this reputation outside, when inside everyone knows him as one of the softest leaders, unable to beat corruption for the sole reason that he hires only for loyalty and never fires anyone for even grossest incompetence, probably afraid that if he does, the loyal chumps will abandon him too.

There's a good American theory about this: Anarcho-tyranny. Can't control the big private owners, so takes it out on the plebs.

          Anonymous

Putin can't fight corruption because he's massively corrupt as well.
It's practically impossible to attempt the reformation of any system when the higher echelons of it can't be reformed. Essentially, corruption rots institutions from the top to the bottom, not the other way around.

    > Gets 30,000 shells
    " No, I need 100,000!
Its the perfect excuse for failure. Maybe the next wave of units have started to refuse to advance into Bakhmut.

  15. 11 months ago

His demands are sound, of course you want as much as you can get. And volume of fire of course makes a difference.

Nobody knows if it's doable, because the frontline is huge and he's not the only one fighting. We don't know the stock/production situation, nor the logistical situation. Russian MoD could just be weary of stockpiling ammo on one spot for obvious reasons.

He's referring to artillery and other specialized stuff, like ATGMs.

Whilst still debated, most historians consider May 2023 the inception point of the Russian Dissolution Event. As Wagnerites (an early, state sanctioned, militia significantly involved in the second Ukrainian war) announced their intention to retreat from the front lines, and the extant Russian armed forces were ordered to open fire to block their retreat, what was professional rivalry and bureaucratic posturing quickly became an evenly matched firefight. With the Russian Government (then led by Putin, a former KGB officer who presided over an uneasy truce between the oligarchs during the interwar years) splintered over ideological and economic lines, there was little capacity to reform the remnants of the state sponsored armed forces into defensive postures capable of protecting administrative centers and functions. The resultant power vacuum saw many of the current main factions assume control of and begin to fight over remaining functioning infrastructure and production sites, leading to the current collection of statelets and autonomous regions that we know today.

Good post, but Wagnerites is a shit name if we assume they become an actual civil war faction

Both Ukrainians and Russians are way short of shells, 30% ammo is probably better than the rest of the front.

Early claims were that the Ukrainians were using 20,000 shells/month and the Russians around 60,000. Assuming they're all 152/155mm (They aren't, and lower caliber guns use more ammo), that's enough to supply 100/300 guns respectively (using the US standard of 20 rds/day)

The Ukrainians have 1200 guns, and the Russians have around 4900. Even if half are in reserve (doubtful) an extremely optimistic estimate would suggest the Ukrainians are getting about 17% of the ammo they need and the Russians are getting about 12%. That's before we even discuss barrels, which both sides are probably not replacing every 1,500 rounds.
