Short barrel 223 is fricking worthless for that kind of stuff because it doesn't have the velocity. 300 FPS is a big fricking deal for a cartridge based on velocity.
But you can kill most things with 5.56 easy even out of a smaller barrel it still has good temporary cavity and you can get special bullets that do it even better out of short barrels for hunting since you won't be shooting that many rounds
I guess not for hogs but I would want a bigger caliber gun if I lived near hogs probably like 308 or at least 7.62x39 and I'm not sure what yotes are coyotes I guess but coyotes are small I bet 5.56 would be fine for a coyote

When I had a poorgay rifle nobody shit on it because it was decent. M&P15 with magpul furniture, holosun 403, snickers sling. The reason people hate poorgays so much is because they don’t stick to quality budget parts. They ALWAYS think they’re somehow unique or building something better than everybody else can for less. M&P 15s are quality rifles at a budget price point. All 3 I’ve owned have been exceptionally well built and reliable. They come from a major manufacturer that sells duty grade firearms and has good quality control. Not Gucci, but doesn’t need to be. Magpul products have seen more military service than probably any single manufacturer in history.
I was poor and had to keep buying / selling them off. They were only like 450 dollars at the time.

I want to get my hands on one. Seems like a very good budget optic. Super light, 3x magnification, ok reticle. It is a fantastic deviation from the trend of mediocre lpvos. There's nothing else in the same compact, lightweight form factor. If the glass is at least decent, it seems like a solid basic optic.

They're Acelink IV plates, and I'm assuming the rig was from them as well because he tossed it to me for free when I gave him some dosh for the plates.

they are but for those parts it's not critical that you use one or the other. All you're doing is lubricating to make installation easy and provide corrosion protection. Oil or grease will do either.

They come from a major manufacturer that sells duty grade firearms and has good quality control. Not Gucci, but doesn’t need to be.
