So does my fannypack.
Only used it for shorter rides on my mountainbike when I first got it, but now I use it for shorter hikes or even full day hikes if the weather is nice.
Fannypacks are amazing, much less back sweat.
The fanny pack keeps stuff you would use more often, this way you're not having to take off your pack, can continue to hike while grabbing what you need. They're a godsend when I was in the military, you got a 60 plus pound ruck that you can't stop to take off to get something.
If you're concerned about how you look with a fanny pack when you're PrepHole you're a mega gaylord.
also fanny packs like the one worn by the thot in the OP are worthless. the bigger the better. you need at least a 6 liter fanny pack or you're an incurable homosexual.
This. If I'm gonna have a big pack I'd rather just carry a backpack.
I use a fanny pack like the one in OPs pic for waterfowl and small game.
I pack: >tourniquet >bandages >medical tape >2 granola bars >gum >ear plugs >pen style flare launcher with bear bangers >1 or 2 game calls >waterproof phone case >half a box of shotgun shells
I put a bottle of water in my coat pocket and I'm good for a day in the woods.
Is it good etiquette to pick up your shells? I always find spent cartridges littering the trails in my area (sorry for the wrong terminology, not a /k/ guy)
Yes, it's good eitquette to pick up your casings.
Littering is subhuman behavior.

I unironically support the death penalty for littering.

They do look like plastic but I thought they made them out of a biodegradable material or something. Apparently it's just my people doing what my people do.
Yeah, that's the difference between an outdoorsman who likes hunting and a redneck who gives us a bad name.
I've spent so much time looking for spent shells, especially with my semi-auto shotgun that flings that all over.
Don't even get me started on how we all switched to non-toxic shot for waterfowl but no one thought to invent a biodegradable wad.
>no one thought to invent a biodegradable wad.
I had a half-thought that they were biodegradable even if they looked like plastic

middle class mega consumers be like: >oh no those evil poor peopl in da woods make environment dirty, away with them. Look, I'm picking up every single one of my shells even if I have to search 10 hours with my flashlight at night and if I find a plastic I make a tiktok shaking my head condesceningly. Look how good, and green I am. I am good for the environment. You are not, evil poor person. Pay the permit.

Absolutely subhuman.
I don't use shotguns, so I actually get a lot of value out of picking up my own casings for reloading.
Since I live somewhere civilized, most people use double barrel shotguns, so picking up the shells isn't much of a hassle.

Use a card or fiber overpowder wad. The shot cups/power piston wads do break down depending on UV exposure. I've seen them disintegrate in a bit over a month in Arizona.

UV breaks the plastic down. You still have the primer and sometimes a steel or brass head to deal with.

Yeah, I've been looking at lots of non-plastic options since I got into reloading.
One guy on YouTube I saw used bits of raw wool as his wad, I might give that a try and see how it patterns.
This has been in my family for generations.
Muy sister gifted It to my dad for his birthday, and then I stole It from him (He didnt even notice because he didnt use It, he didnt even remove the tags)
And now its my fishing and biking pack.
Whenever I'm legally allowed to conceal carry in national forests (Obama was surprisingly the one to allow this, lmao), I'll have my G29 in a fanny pack.
i keep my first aid and basic emergency supplies in a fanny and never take it off even when i'm sleeping, so that if i ever get separated from my gear i'm not fricked.
i think its a smart idea to.
and it lets me take a smaller backpack on my overnighters.
belt pockets are generally better for small items and chest pockets are generally better for large or heavy items.
chest pockets are really popular with ultralighters too. the only difference is they usually mount them to the pack straps instead of wearing a complete rig, because the chest rig itself doesn't need to exist if you're not a combat soldier who needs to quickly ditch your backpack.
why'd i even have to make this post? if you actually go PrepHole and use this stuff you'd know baka.
if you're carrying a camera or something you get a chest pocket or chest rig. if you want to carry a few small items you use a fanny pack or belt pocket. p easy to figure that one out.
Backpacks have a bladder. Hard to compete with that.
So does my fannypack.
Only used it for shorter rides on my mountainbike when I first got it, but now I use it for shorter hikes or even full day hikes if the weather is nice.
Fannypacks are amazing, much less back sweat.
Have you ever thought of using the bladder for pee? It's already at crotch height
I have to be honest with you here, I actually never thought of that.
Not sure I see the practical application of storing extra pee.
To drink, of course.
Are you Bear Grylls?

Yeah that’ll hold maybe 1 cargo pants pocket worth of junk.
I feel the opposite way. I hate big bulky fanny packs and think they defeat the purpose of packing lightly and having good mobility and comfort.
This. If I'm gonna have a big pack I'd rather just carry a backpack.

I wear one when foraging for mushrooms
chest rig + battle belt seems to me like the better solution.
Stop watching Lucas Botkin videos and thinking a chest rig and battle belt are anywhere close to optimal gear
ah packed ya mums fanny
I use picrel.
3 liter volume, with a 1.5 liter bladder for water.
Carries all I need for a full day in fair weather.
I'd like to pack her fanny IYKWIM
No, but I've got a gas mask bag (canvas purse) I use for trout fishing. Telescopic rod fits into it entirely
This has been in my family for generations.
Muy sister gifted It to my dad for his birthday, and then I stole It from him (He didnt even notice because he didnt use It, he didnt even remove the tags)

link?
for when you need a tactical quick-draw DSLR pocket
I know a fat boomer who wears a fanny pack and I'm pretty sure he keeps a gun in it. Something to consider.
>Fannypackpilled
>TNpilled
>ip, dip, dog shit, fricking bastard, silly git, you, are, not, it.
I have a pouch that attaches to my belt it that counts?
belt pouches = modular fanny pack
I can just attach my hip belt pouches to my actual belt but why??? Chest rig is so much more practical than a troony pack.
belt pockets are generally better for small items and chest pockets are generally better for large or heavy items.
