Are Russians trained to use the MPL-50 as a weapon?

Are Russians trained to use the MPL-50 as a weapon, /k/anons? Also, why aren't American troops trained to use their shovels are weapons? Are we falling behind in this critical area of training?

This is propaganda. There is no way they have convinced a load of men to charge 'enemy at the gates' style with shovels at an enemy armed with guns.
I will believe it when I see it.

And the historical documentation of them doing it in the past means nothing to you?

It's not that I underestimate the Russian desperation at this point, but, I've seen a lies and disinformation this war.
Is there a source or video/pics of this?

HATO shills think they are smart but this image simply shows the pathetic state of their so called 'intelligence' operations. When shown proof of their inferiority they beg their enemies for information.

Of course not. These are the people who take Enemy at the Gates as an actual historical source.

nobody is "charging with shovels" but the constant trench fighting in there necessitates hand to hand combat sometimes, its been that way in stalingrad very often too

Germans had a special hand to hand combat badge even, guess what weapons they used? Thats right, entrenching tools

yeah a lot of it reminds of ww1 combat, i even seen one vid of ukrainians testing flamethrowers

It's natural to be skeptical towards outlandish claims in war, but there's a lot of stupid shit that has literally been caught on camera that I would never believe happened if I merely read about it.

I don't doubt that this something that Russians MIGHT do, but I won't believe it without source.
Just as we can see this bot here

shilling for Russia, there are just as many people making up shit about Russia.
Which is why I always like to have a source before I believe it.
I would encourage any /k/ommando to do the same.

I don't think they've actually convinced anyone, merely issued a rifle and a shovel and told them to go take the objective.

I seem to remember a documentary from the early 2000's they'd show spetznaz crawling under barbed wire through puddles of blood, and using shovels offensively. Realistically they just probably get hazed and shit, maybe have a week where the ones with seniority get drunk and frick around with shovels to pretend they're training.
Although given their track record at war I'd be surprised if they gave someone a shovel instead of telling them to run into no mans land at gun point and steal one.

I thought that was all commie era propaganda you know like commies saw some wuxia movies got jealous and wanted to make war recruitment movies that kinda were a knock off to do a one upmanship because commies are usually competitive about kill counts they try to appeal to other people that didn't get put into a death camp or death march.

You know like a stallinists vs maoists. Kind of a deal. They're both tankies, it's just like one tankie is like the fruit loops of tankies and the other is the generic brand that you get told to buy at the grocery store because it's exactly the same but it has gayer marketing so you kinda want the other one.

The only thing more prolific has been the 'desperation IFV' with the naval turret.
