most aren't. people prioritize comfort, safety and entertainment over going uphill for hours to perhaps see an owl. shocking, right?

And that's a good thing. we need to let more people know it's okay not to go out

made. this anon is right about people prioritizing comfort and such but you have to remember that we are creatures designed to exist in nature, and that these luxuries are man made to begin with. It wouldn't actually take much to adapt to a more rugged lifestyle for most people. I guess the difference is that some are more likely to seek that out on their own while others would have to be forced into it.

You need to look at how her mother aged.
      ...this is a pro-tip.
Regarding OP, I would say I was turned outdoorsy by circumstances.

Each generation is fatter and less active than the last.
Also genes are deteriorating due to poor gut health
They will always be uglier than mama

There are multiple levels to FASD.

you can A philtrum and still have thin lips
but a major lead for FASD is thin lips

You still look at the parents. Much like how you start training a bowman with his grandfather, so too must fatness be rooted in the generations that come before
Being fat is not only an all-consuming undertaking, but it requires really fricking up your body and eating habits as early as possible. There is significant classical and operant conditioning involved in the only exercise that will be performed here.

everyone is born to be outdoors but modern life and particulary gaming, smartphones and that shit has unmade a generation or two from it.

I'm pretty sure by the time of not so early neolithic an average person would be freaked out for not sleeping in some kind of structure in a village surrounded by a palisade.

I hated the PrepHoledoors until I moved out of FL

After leveling a bit in an lower level biome I enjoy my visits back home, can't beat the birding in the wetlands. Florida Trail is on my list now

      >can't beat the birding in the wetlands
Very few pleasures beat the simplicity of wandering around in the wetlands and watching all kinds of unusual and unique waterfowl pass through. Or just sitting on a bench and watching nature go to work.

Hikers are made. I come from a family of fat, tv-watching blobs and was one myself growing up. I wasn't born a hiker and only started when I was 30. Now I hike year-round, at least once a week, and have done some big hikes like Mt. Whitney and Grand Canyon rim to river and back in under a day. Plus some longer backpacking trips with the longest being the Quehanna Trail in the middle of winter that involved lots of night hiking. The next time I find myself between jobs, I am going to do a major thru-hike, probably the CDT because it's less crowded with normies like the coastie trails.

Also you can be outdoorsy without being into hiking. My brother for example weighs over 250 lbs and loathes hiking, but is an avid fisherman who also cooks well, both indoors and outdoors

Same I started out hiking and camping but then I realized this is fricking stupid just walking around for no reason. I still hike and camp but now it's to scout for game and prepare for the upcoming hunting season.

    The less normies the better.

Public campgrounds are a holding pen for normies and brainlets. The less of them that are aware of just how much nature is on their doorstep, the better, because they're inevitably frick it up beyond repair.

They're born. I love the outdoors but grew up a huge fatfrick. Always hated hiking, thought it was stupid to just walk on a trail to a gay lookout point. I also thought I was just being lazy but even after losing all the weight doing MMA I still fricking hated hiking and thought it was boring/moronic. If you're not hiking through brush in a survival situation then yes hiking is braindead

I was in scouts as a kid so I was used to going out but preferred staying inside on the computer all day. Now I work from home writing software thanks to always being on the computer but this life style is not healthy. Now I go out again and it keeps me balanced and happier.
