Anyone here wear Corcoran Brown Jump Boots? Not trying to be a parachutist, but I really like the way they look, and it seems like they would be good for light duty stuff around the home and workshop.
Any recommendations on sizing and experience?

I wore corcoran black jump boots all through college in the 80's, but afaik they haven't changed much since then. They fit true to size, I measure 9 1/2E on a brannock and that's the size I wear in jump boots. They are reasonably well built, the leather is a bit thin but they have reinforcement at wear points so they will last for years. They have great ankle support (which is why I wore them, I sprained my ankle twice in a few weeks my freshman year and my rotc friend recommended them). The soles do not have particularly good traction (you will slip on wet grass) but they last a good while and your local cobbler can resole them with a grippy modern vibram sole when the time comes.
The only other negative is they don't have speed hooks and their lace holes are close together so getting in them can take awhile. I'm actually pondering getting a pair of browns myself and cutting them down to about 7" which should make it considerably faster to get in and out.
Thank you for this recommendation. I have been looking for Munson lasted boots, but it seems like only Corcoran makes them nowadays. I have a wide forefoot and a narrow heel.
red wing iron rangers are also munson last.
>They fit true to size
I should clarify that they fit true to size if you wear proper thick socks. if you're planning to wear bargain bin white cotton socks then you'll probably want to go down a half size or more.
All of this. I word them for many years at least 3 pair, and they sre the best fit to foot I've ever had in a boot. You need to break them in and you should keep them up and take care of the leather but they become like a second skin.
Also, do yourself an infinite favor and get the side zip boots. Lace them once properly and never again, on and off in seconds, I usually stepped into mine and out the door almost without breaking stride.
Well worth the price.
You're included in this question, too.
>leather boots
>current year
hhhomo
Noone wants your homosexual timbs
did you know that you can just buy shoes made of synthetic material? they're very durable and you don't even have to condition them. plus you wont look like a skinhead
Shut up tard
This was the most moronic take on this board today
Narrow toes though in lots of Chinese boots.
No, they aren't. They made a "Muson Ranger" once but it was a limited release in EUROPE and aren't made anymore.
Thanks bro, looking forward to fricking the mother of my children in her tight butthole while wearing them.
My concern is the heel. I have a narrow heel and a wide forefoot. So I'm thinking about going down in size by 1/2 but getting a wide, maybe putting some insole in it that takes up heel space.
I'm
I bought a pair a year ago at a red wing store in the USA, and if it was not made on the munson last then it was made on a last so close as to be indistinguishable to my feet. I don't have them anymore because they didn't have the ankle support of jump boots and I twisted my ankle within a couple of weeks (which is why I'm now considering getting a pair of jump boots and getting my local cobbler to shorten the shaft)
>I have a narrow heel and a wide forefoot
You'll love the munson last then. they were designed for flat-footed farm boys who only wore shoes on sunday. Also Alden tends to use a combination last with the heel portion a size smaller than the forefoot, e.g. an Alden width D will be lasted with a D forefoot and a C or B heel. They will be marked with the two widths on the inside of the shoe, e.g. "9.5 D/C"
Can you tell me more about specific boots that have that kind of fit? Narrow heel/wider forefoot.
I tried looking up Munson lasted boots, but it seems like nobody makes them besides Corcoran. Thoughts?
Thanks for your time, too.
You probably bought a "Munson Ranger." It would be nice to try wearing a pair, but it's been 4 years since their limited release. No way I can find them.
If you have a wide foot they're not going to fit, instead of a D width like standard they're closer to a B (narrow). I bought a 14 Wide and it was roughly the same length and width as a 12 Regular tennis shoe, my foot did not physically fit in it even sockless
I wear a 11.5 barefoot style shoe and want some foot protection.
I don't know what size to try. Thinking about ordering a bunch in different sizes and widths and returning the ones that don't fit.
They won't be as nicely made as Corcorans, but you might want to take a look at Bates Enforcer jump boots; their sizes and widths are accurate, and they're relatively durable
Very much would like to ask about sizing. I have a narrow heel and a wide forefoot from wearing barefoot shoes.
What size would you suggest? I typically wear a 11.5 in my barefoot shoes. I am interested because of the Munson last and the foot protection on shitty ground.
Some people like leather anon.
>leather boots
Why are you like this?
I'm not reading all that shit.
The historical and factual inaccuracies contained in this are mind numbing.
Begone, pest.
>did you know that you can just buy shoes made of synthetic material
yes but why would you ever?
I'm trans and a wartourist btw, if that matters
I will always prefer leather boots.
Brown leather Corcoran boots are stolen valor?
Don’t wear in service military uniform items that you haven’t earned the right to wear. My guess is you’re probably European so you don’t know any better but this kind of infraction on your part would sign you up for first class ass whooping from any paratrooper or jump qualified soldier in the US who catches you wearing those in public
homosexual
Brown Corcorans aren't military wear anymore.

>Description.
(a) The boots must be between 8 to 10 inches in height and made of coyote-colored, flesh-side out cattlehide leather
with a plain toe and a soling system matching the color of the coyote upper materials. Rubber and polyether polyurethane are the only outsole materials that are authorized. The soling materials will not exceed 2 inches in height when
measured from the bottom of the outsole and will not extend up the back of the heel or boot or over the top of the toe.
The exterior of the boot upper will not contain mesh, but will be constructed of all leather or a combination of leather
and nonmesh fabric.
(b) The combat leather boot is made of leather with a deep lug tread sole made of vulcanized rubber, a removable
cushioned insert, a closed-loop speed lace system, and a leather padded collar. A vulcanized rubber sole is the only
outsole material that currently meets the need for durability and traction on surfaces. Other materials that may be of a
lighter weight may have significant problems in these areas.
(2) How worn.
(a) The black leather combat boots are worn with the ASU.
(b) The brown leather combat boots are worn with the AGSU.

Not an argument
Wrong see above
I've earned my right to wear mine.
I'm a civilian in my late 30s and nasty girl officer (CPT). If you want to wear clothes meant for men then perhaps you should become a man first. There's nothing worse than a estrogen laced numale wearing army uniforms because they want to pretend they are grown up. We laid a few dresses at the kids table for you, go try those on. Leave the uniforms and boots to the real men out there hooah
Now I know you are a never served.
Wrong
PrepHole doesn't need to verify my t-levels.
they couldnt verify anything because yours are too low to register
Nobody cares
kek you've never served a day in your life. also, corcoran jump boots do not meet the requirements you listed, so you're a fricking moron and an illiterate as well.
Corcoran jump boots are AR 670-1 Compliant.
And they're sold all over the world and nobody sees them as a purely military item
>all over the wor..
Stopped reading there. The only country that matters is America. PrepHole is an american website. Every other country on the planet exists to become a vassal state to america, just another piece of land for us to place a military base on. You insects should be grateful we allow you to keep your shitty histories and cultures created by absolute savages.
Missing the point on purpose isn't trolling it just makes you look moronic.
You're just jealous of having no history or culture.
no, they are not.
>You probably bought a "Munson Ranger."
nope, it was an Iron Ranger
apparently they do.
which part of the description do you mean? was it
>made of coyote-colored
which neither the black nor brown corcorans meet
>flesh-side out cattlehide leather
which neither the black nor brown corcorans meet
>with a plain toe
which neither the black nor brown corcorans meet
>and a soling system matching the color of the coyote upper materials
which neither the black nor brown corcorans meet
You're being purposefully obtuse. Leather jump boots are authorized for AGSU only. The boot description you are posting is standard boots worn with AGSUs. Quit acting like a junior enlisted homosexual.
worn without*(

Time to stop posting and go back to mopping in the rain private.
ohshit I guess I can't wear white underwear because it's approved for military so it's stolen valor
ohshit i guess i can't wear oakleys becaue they're approved for military so its stolen valor
ohshit i guess i can't wear socks because they're approved for military so its stolen valor
frick off you moronic neverserved homosexual
>false equivalence argument
This immediately tells me that you have nothing of value left to say and that you concede to my well argued and sourced points(SNEED).
Thanks for participating in todays thread.
Modern soldiers don't wear corcoran leather brown boots.
>modern sol-ACK
>present a pegged appearance
How can they tell?
If your pants seem like they are really tight around the calves above the boot shaft. Some guys even used to get their pants tailored to look like this.
>t. dumb homosexual who doesn't know regulations
Two anons have posted PDFs from G1. I have a feeling you're one of those "I only enlisted because I was raised by a single mother and I need money for college so I can be indoctrinated by marxism" types from some area with an average literacy level below or equal to the 5th grade, which is why you're having issues reading simple Army publication documents that are 80% pictures. Just have a nice day now, don't even bother waiting until your ETS date to leave. We have too many 18 year old dumbfricks like you who act like smartasses in the armed forces.
You write like a woman. You’re also wrong like one. You got BTFO twice. Don’t You me, it’s over anon, just walk away from your desk
>ranger joes sells uncompliant jump boots
Anon I...
Based jumpbro defending earning his boots.
How many dude's asses have you fricked, I mean fricked, I-I mean fricked, I mean k-kicked over wearing them without serving?
>How many dude's asses have you fricked, I
None, I'm not a cav scout nor have I considered joining the navy
>NOOOOO someone called me out therefore they are a NEVERSERVE
Why are 18 year olds on this board like this?
Show me a single pic of a modern soldier wearing the ww2-looking brown leather corcoran jump boots that aren't the desert marauders.
Verification once again not required.
>posting a retired vet
yeah........
how about any MODERN solider now, like I asked, wearing them.
Maj Gen JP McGee is not retired. He is still the general of the 101st Airvorne Div. Two seconds of research would have told you that.
This image is from the April 2021 DCS G1 uniform policy. See page 13.

How do we remove europeans from this board?

shut the frick up lmfao. Either neverserved or truly a moronic cpt who tries too hard to be "RANGER"

Abhorrent european logic post.

>oh, me yea I made 5 jumps onto friar, im hard
Kys
but not you, right? cause you obviously never served you absolute boot-licking homosexual
wanna know how we know you're a moron?
Wrong.
VNR
I'm so afraid of a 95 year old paratrooper beating my ass for wearing the wrong kind of boots.
Vs what? Wearing “tactical” boots? You’ll look even more autistic than op.
Red wing iron rangers you're welcome.
Take your ugly ass sketchers and frick off off back to /lgbt/
Absolute moron. No one is going to care about his boots and no paratrooper is going to do shit. Have you tried not being a homosexual for once and developing your personality beyond spending 4 years in the army.
Iron Rangers have kind of a wide heel and narrow toe for me. I tired them, but they fit weirdly.
Not brown leather ones.
Look again in the description
I read your statement and I don't care. I'm not trolling. Every other country besides America should not exist. I truely believe this. I'm surprised this websites allows insects like you to continue to post on this board. The quality of all messages boards online dropped drastically the moment our politicians made the mistake of allowing other countries easier access to DARPANET(internet). I'd exterminate you vermin myself if I had the kinetic means.
I SAID MODERN, not some LARP.
>Everything I disagree with or am not properly educated on is a larp.
Listen european anon. I realize it must be hard being european, especially with your livelyhood being threatened a super power that us americans do not care about. That being said, if you wish to stop living your life of milquetoast cowardice, you're welcome to earn you right to have the greatest passport in the world (The blue american passport) by participating in a trial by fire.
We offer citizenships to those like you, those who are tired of eating meager scraps off the streets, tired of letting muslims into their country to bang their white women, tired of having restaurant culture so inferior that it cannot produce as many locations as Mcdonalds. How do I enlist if living in another country?
Move to a US territory and enlist from there.
I believe that is John Kelley who is retired, but the manual I posted above should suffice for the european who continues to argue with me.
Dude in the middle totally has the face of someone who sucked the dicks of the two on his sides.
>Dude in the middle totally has the face of someone who sucked the dicks of the two on his sides.
He's a sailor.
I'm not trying to imply anything. Sailors are homosexuals in the gay homosexual sense, and I don't mean that in a derogatory way.
anyone with boots that shiny doesn't do shit, at least not anything useful
>you have to wear Black person boots or autismo boots
Yea let's just forget about the vast majority of shoes that normal people wear
Never serving up some stolen valor.
No one cares about stolen valor, milsurp is cheap and durable and thats why people use it. Stop pretending, like wasting the best years of your life protecting israel is any kind of achievement. Also 8in leather boots suck, they are way too heavy for any kind of serious rucking, you are much better served with a shorter or synthetic boot. They are fine, when at the shop or working around vehicles.
>8in leather boots suck, they are way too heavy for any kind of serious rucking
I have without exaggeration hiked 1000 miles in Corcorcans and I liked them much more than my Merrills, in fact never wore them hiking again after getting the jump boots
No valor in serving ZOG. I'm going to my local VFW dressed as Patton for beers homosexual. I'll tell everyone how we fought the wrong enemy in WW2
Gay fetish boots, I'm sure you'll love them.
Uncomfortable, and they would not be good for light duty anything.
I had a black pair. They were okay.
We salute the boots, not the man.
at the front dot com has some but only in midget and giant sizes. try looking around other WWII reenacting websites.
I got a pair for $2 at a thrift store on a military base. They were brand new
pretty comfy, I like them.
I wouldn't pay $200+ for them though. There are better constructed boots in the same price bracket. Watch a teardown video of them.
Had three or four pairs over the years. They are great, get some good quality insoles and all the stuff you need to keep them polished and clean.
Suggestions for insoles for people with narrow heels but wide forefeet?
ww2 paratrooper gear is kino
>British Denison smock
Good larping boot, I personally like to wear them for the skinhead aesthetic. Horrible combat boot as the flat outer sole will make about any surface slippery as it has no tread and the inner sole is a cheap layered on foam that will crumble apart after a while and become really uncomfortable. Although I won't be reviving them for another month or two, the Austrian paratrooper boots look pretty promising.
I feel like the tread is OK. It's not like I'm going to go sprinting across wet grass in them.
Corcorans come with Vibram soles, you dont have to get the deck soles, its not actually 1956 anymore
Similar. If your foot is proportionate and looks exactly like an anatomy textbook drawing of a footprint the Munson last will fit you. By default Corcorcans are EE IIRC. I would go half to 1 full size up from your sneaker size. I'm a 10.5 measured and 11-11.5 is great for me, esp since feet swell over a long day
>does not apply to to EEE+, weird simian feet, big flappers or fatties
Of u have the cash get the state trooper riding boots im brown, sadly they cost alot
ripoff of redwing iron rangers
I've got a black pair, they're alright, but I prefer jungle boots
Boots have got a lot better since then my man.
You can get something a lot newer more comfy that looks close enough.
Never forget military boots or military items in general are made by the guys who could promise to make them just barely good enough for the cheapest price.
Your feet deserve better than that.
It's honestly more of a fit thing that I'm after. I also like their look. I feel like brown goes with a lot of stuff and doesn't scream "TACTICOOL" as black.
What list?
Girls look cute in almost all leather boots with their naked butts high up in the air.
Still go with Waxis
No info about lasts or width measurements in inches or cm. I'll need to pass. I also don't really like the buckle or see the point. I'm not a diehard Rhodesia fan; they did lose in the end.
Time to add these bad boys to the list
Idk anon all I know is when I saw this picture I thought about how cute a woman would look in them
Go with Waxis
I noooticed Haul Perills latest vid he was wearing those. Just black. I may have to get me a pair.
