kek don't tell me that is the lord of the rings remake

No, that's The Legend of the Seeker, which is a pre-GoT high fantasy TV show produced by Sam Raimi. It's very cheesy and campy along the lines of Xena, Hercules, and all of Sam Raimi's other shows. It still had a pretty strong cult fandom while it was on though, and it was filmed in New Zealand so it at least looked nice for the most part.

          >larp innawoods
That's still going PrepHole just being autistic about it.
You do know there use to be loads of people on here who would did time period camping until homosexuals like you appeared. Which is actually pretty fun. I use to go full cowboy back in the day, even had a horse for it.

I've never owned a horse but I've gone camping with a pack horse before, if you're not doing a period larp it's like the best part of backpacking combined with the best part of car camping.

1)Yes, and i've gone PrepHole with people like that before
2)Let's be honest, OP isn't one of those people

Two of my brothers were in a reenactment camping fellowship and they loved it. It's got a lot of overlap with bushcraft since many of the same skills apply, you just have to use period acceptable tools and materials.

It’s a county fair and gas station hat. I think they’re bronner or something. Kinda spendy for a cheap hat but not bad in the grand scheme. Mine blew off a mountain.

Yeah, but not by choice. I dont have a friend who can just nut-up and make do when things start to suck. Everything has to have a plan and a contingency and a blah blah blah what if.

Bro I love hanging with you but its a sign not a cop. Live a little.

I use a canvas tent, brass kerosene pressure stove, kerosene lantern and a wool blanket. I wouldn't say its a total larp as Im going out to fish, hunt, bushwalk and explore but some of my equipment choices are unorthodox/old & heavy

    did it 3 months.
REI type store-bought gear breaks down much faster than you'd expect, it's recreational. look to military stuff, though it's heavier.
also hygiene begins to matter a lot, as in gangrene etc. dirty clothes wear out faster.
if you're wearing 50% or more cotton clothes during summer, somewhere humid, they will absorb all of the air moisture during the day and stay wet, constantly, getting cold at night. forests trap moisture.
wet clothes will shred after brushing against enough branches.
bring an axe and rope or fishing/hunting stuff or you'll get bored unless on some sort of buddhist mission.

    bring something like this:
    https://www.simpleoutdoorstore.com/outsak.html
for food or the squirrels will demolish your entire campsite looking for food. (chewing tent guylines, backpack straps and holes, etc. they have a gnawing reflex that goes off when they smell food around.)

mosquito netting may be necessary some areas and seasons but you'll get used to them if it's normal spawn levels.
