anybody here have an smg made from a kit like a sten or ppsh (a simpler tube gun style)? im trying to build a suomi kp31 but all the kits out there are non existant, so im wondering how much itd cost to have the reciever milled out, at the very least id be fine if its just 80% or something since i have the tools to do the basic stuff like drilling holes and cutting out slots
poodle shooter bait car thread?
you're retarded, theres nothing illegal about these
80% does not work how you think it works.
You cannot make an 80%
Somebody has to make a prototype 80% and send it to the atf where they approve or deny it.
If you make your own 80 they can say whatever the fuck you did is 100% and a gun.
Making a self declared 80 only fucks you. Make 100%.
i dont think itd even be 80%, the reciever without the slots or holes is mostly just a tube with threading on one end then i can do the rest (yes ive looked at diagrams to confirm this)
you cant do shit while tyrannical communist israelites are in power. did you forget the man who was convicted to prison for making a drawing on a square piece of metal of a lightning link?
thats fucked, how did he even get caught?
at the very least what im doing isnt illegal, you're allowed to go to a hardware store and buy half inch piping to make a slamfire shotgun, this isnt much different
It actually is illegal. Since what you are building would end up f/a or an sbr. You havent said anything about making it semi and seem to have the idea you can actually reuse most of those parts while duplicating an original reciver.
it will be SA and closed bolt, dont worry
Bro you had to resort to PrepHole to find a source for a reciver, where the fuck are you going to get a bolt and the rest of it from?
i asked how much you guys have spent on milling not how to make it, i already found diagrams including an atf aproved one from TNW
Making SMG kits NFA compliant is a pain in the ass and honestly it's sad to see old parts kits get such treatment
The bolts need to be drilled out and firing pins installed, triggers redesigned etc, it ends up coating like 1k to make a semi auto nfa compliant sten gun and that's not counting tooling you need like welder press drill press etc
The you wasted a bunch of money on a piece of shit gun
im pretty sure 90% of people who make guns from these kits are also not fully legal, because theres that gay rule where certain firearm parts cant be foreign
but i dont think uncle sam really cares so much that you're gonna get fined because the steel on your trigger looks suHispaniciously greek or something, unless you're making a business out of it
its called 922r which only applies to rifles. Pistols and maybe NFA items are exempt from domestic parts count requirements but nobody gives a fuck about 922r besides businesses. If the ATF busts some nobody for 922r they were already fucked for bigger things. Its a nothing burger law added to punish manufactures just like charing a mafia boss with tax evasion to get them locked up for longer
Went the UZI route myself.
ppsh, etc somewhat the same
>Jig/heat sink with torch cut parts
or
>Buy an 80% and minor weld up/ mill holes
Converting it to semi auto is horrid, but it is what it it.
>Semi bolt w pin (open bolt to closed bolt change)
>Gay ass blocking bars to prevent using a F/A bolt.
Fuck this gay earth.
There are 80% parts around, they are enough trouble between regulations and manufacturing with low enough demand that they aren't generally in stock anymore. But if you keep an eye out someone will do another run to supply the kits being imported or you might be able to hussle one up at auction or a WTS.

Converting them to semi auto and closed bolt is difficult unless you have a mill to make your own parts. Mini mills are available around 1k but their quality ranges a lot between them and you get what you pay for with them
Not gonna bother reading the rest of the thread because 99% of /k/ is retarded no guns. Do not bother unless you have a welder. I did a CZ-26 80% tube from Indianapolis ordinance using a drill press and Dremel. All of their receivers either have a denial bar or have an inner diameter too small to accept full auto bolts. Don't pay someone to do something you can easily do yourself even with limited tools.
I'll add that the same company also sells semi-auto conversion kits and barrels for a lot of subguns including the Suomi.
are these identical to the TNW tubes or are they different? i need to be sure
actually i know the TNW recievers are multi piece and this is single piece but are all the dimensions the same if its all in one piece
I have never heard of TNW until now. I know that my CZ-26 tube wasn't compatible with any other bolt design besides the conversion that Indianapolis sells. I would imagine that it's the same deal for their Suomi parts.
>all the dimensions the same if its all in one piece
If you are talking overall length then maybe but I wouldn't count on literally any other dimension being comparable.
