Unironically one of the clearest signs Kherson currently isn't going the way Russia wants

      Anonymous

      Not really.
A traitor will always be a coward as well. All this tells us is that he's too scared to be in Kherson.

Why Russians rely on traitors like him instead of assigning military government in occupied regions, and why they export gypsies, drunks and parasites instead of hard-working Russian workers is a mystery. Perhaps the KGB clique in Kremlin is clueless, or perhaps their plan never was to expand Russia, but to turn the occupied territories into cesspits as quickly as possible.

Russia wants to build a narrative that Ukrainians themselves want to return to the Motherland.

        Anonymous

They did the same back during soviet "russification". And yes, the purpose is to turn the territories into shitholes. The majority israeli communist politburo correctly recognized the russian species as subanimal, and inflicted them on territories that might otherwise develop independent cultures and nations, while simultaneously deporting large portions of these communities deep into russia to be annihilated through dysgenics.

This. The idea that a someone who has betrayed once will betray again is centuries old by now and while the Russians are incompetent in many aspects they know how to employ the jackboot very well. I can only assume that the turncoats are "leaders" in name only.

These people were involved in Ukrainian politics before the war, some local and some in the legislature. Having them join these organizations gives a figleaf of legitimacy to the idea that these Oblasts are organically choosing to join Russia. Nobody outside of Russia really buys it, but there you go.

You don't want occupied areas strong and successful, you want them to stay poor, cowed, and subservient. Shit, you don't even need the population to be patriotic if they're broken enough - their conscription and the subsequent sacrifice of citizens from donbas is evidence of that.

        >why they export gypsies, drunks and parasites
Because that’s what russians in general are.
Hard working russians are rare and honest russians are so far and few that they are statistically nonexistent.
More often than not they have to flee russia because honesty is such an alien and downright frightening concept to russians that they heap abuse on anyone who shows any sign of it.

To be honest, Ukraine has no other options, they don't have enough precision weapons for a quick US in Iraq blitzkrieg style, they don't have enough artillery and supplies for blitzkrieg like in WWII, so slowly squeezing Russians out is the only one realistic option.

Everything is fine. Ukrops' "offensive" turned out to be a joke, they lost almost 2000 soldiers yesterday, 43 tanks and uncounted amount of utility vehicles. And Russian army is conducting its own operation in Nikolayev oblast, which will clear the way to Nikolayev itself and then to Odessa. Taking Odessa before October will be a huge thing, which will demoralize ukrops and probably make them run to Lvov or Uzhgorod. After Odessa returns to Russia, Kharkov and Dnepropetrovsk are next.

      Anonymous

That would be so brutal, they can link up with Transnistria at once. By that time Western Europe will beg Russia for gas, it will be a total Russian victory. Expect Moldova to be next by February.

        Anonymous

That's exactly what will happen, that's exactly why Russia is slowing down its offensive pace on purpose. Slow, but total win on all fronts is better than blietzkrieg in a single direction. By letting Europe suffer through the coming winter and slowly but surely destroying and disabling NATO weaponry which costs millions of dollars Russia is winning not only this local military conflict, but a major geopolitical conflict which is being fought on an international scale. Russo-Indo-Chinese alliance is breaking the old unipolar order apart and makes sure there will be no western hegemony anymore.

The UA forces have been able to destroy Russian arti very well, partly because they've been using a ton of drones.

The US is extremely good at targeting arti positions with counter battery, the F35 can spot and track a system that fires, deal with it by itself or task another aircraft to take it out.

Smaller nations don't match up to just that portion of the budget with their entire GDP - and its been this way every year since WW2. For all we know they've probably discovered the secret to time travel by now. But the one thing they're not is underfunded.

      >Russia is winning!
Well, obviously Russia is losing because otherwise it'd be a live clip of Putin bragging about how he personally won the war. Since its someone doing damage control on social media we can safely assume that Russia will crumble as an institution after another 6-12 months of fighting.

      >inb4 it won't last that long
Oh, it will. If Ukraine runs completely out of Ukrainians, it'll still last that long. The point of the exercise is not to save Ukraine, they're a convenient excuse for the West to permanently break Russia - and broken it shall be. The EU plans to solve its energy crisis by buying up Russian oil and natural gas for cents on the dollar or as part of a war reparations deal. The US will have destroyed one of its ideological enemies, leaving only China and the Norks to resist the One World Government.

        Anonymous

I don't know, depending how this goes the US may end up sacrificing their europeans vassals, they may either top their governments or just wither into irrelevance after their economies are destroyed, Russia will be okay because it enjoys good stability and support from its own population while the west suffer crisis after crisis, not to mention 80% of the world saw the paper tiger that is the west after they failed miserably to bring down an economy the size of texas after doing everything they can, we're seeing several countries moving away from western sphere of influence, China will probably invade taiwan before the end of the decade now that they aren't afraid of meme sanctions.

      >due to our poorly planned, emotional actions, we revealed the location of a major missile battery in Crimea, that got struck last night
      >multiple fixed wing aircraft were lost as we attempted terror bombing in broad daylight
      >Ukraine's limited MRLS and aviation were used to great effect as our air defense was forced to operate with their radars turned off

      As usual.
But considering that the best way to know the truth is to look what ruskie MOD released and then reverse it, it seems pretty likely that russians are getting their asses kicked pretty badly currently.

Hohols advance was pushed back in most places, they still hold one village last I heard. According to a Russian soldier who posted on telegram, they were able to dig in quickly. Given how the hohol trenches have gone before, I don’t think it’ll last long. I think all the talk of a million man offensive got into the heads of gayto and they told Zelensky to do it, regardless of effectiveness.
    >inb4 the evacuation!!!
That city on Russia’s border was having problems with its rail service, causing long lines. If the hohols somehow manage to get into Russia proper, Kiev is gonna get nuked

IF this Ukrainian offensive actually fails, and they do lose thousands of men and dozens or even hundreds pieces of equipment (again, if). What are the Russian chances of conquering Mykolaiv?

      Anonymous

still seems pretty unlikely, they couldn't take kharkiv either

      Anonymous

They would still need additional troops which they are struggling to recruit. Mykolaiv had a pre-war population of nearly half a million, so roughly the same size as Mariupol without the benefit of the initial surprise of the war or being close enough to the Feb 2022 front line and the sea that it could be easily cut off for resupply.

So now that we know the hohol offensive failed yet again; what went wrong?
