Remember the pair of landing ships that escaped Berdyansk port few months ago when ukes sunk Saratov (initailly misidentified as Orsk)?
Back then they managed to reach crimea, supposedly
>under their own power
Well, now it turns out that after few months of trying, russians are not able to repair them and have given up trying. "Caesar Kunikov" and "Novocherkassk" are permanently out of the war. and probably will be scrapped.
Of course the official reason is not the damage suffered during ukrainian attack, nosiree. Its because perfidious Poland provided them with fake engine parts in 2019
Damn these perfidious, crafty poles.
https://mash.ru/news/156607
>They were sent to repair - did not work. It's because of the defective injectors. And now it won’t work to buy new ones - Poland has imposed sanctions.
>Those perfidious poles! Intentionally giving us defective parts!
>Help us poles! We need new parts!
What the frick
Is this satire??
Diesel injectors are...at the most...1940's machining and metallurgy tech.
Are there no lathes in Russia? Is there no metals with which to turn the bodies and valves and make the springs?
Have rebuilt more diesel injectors for medium and slow speed marine engines than I can fricking count.
Shit isn't difficult. Nazi Krauts managed to make them for their U-boats while getting their shit pushed in from the sky by the Bongs' and Yanks' bombers.
Russia can't manage THAT?
The FRICK we're they THINKING?
Hell...the Chibks could crank them out 1000 new injectors a day. They might be shot with a very limited lifespan, but you buy them by the pallet.
They can menage that you fricking moron. problem obviously lies somewhere else, you fricking Black person-brained moron.
Or are you going to blindly trust the Russians?
Hey, moron. You can gauge their bullshit by examining in detail how realistic their lies about a thing are.
Or hadn't that occurred to you?
Some of us know a little something about ships in general and diesel engines in particular.
So when Pussolini's flacks claim that it's the injectors, we know enough to call bullshit on that.
>They might be shot with a very limited lifespan, but you buy them by the pallet.
>but you buy them by the pallet.
>the pallet.
Vatniks have not reached this level of wunderwaffe, anon.
Oh yeah...that's right!
Clever western neo-Nazi degenerate dope fiends defeat Mother Russia by denying them the decadent pallet and hydraulic pallet jack technologies!
>404 pallet.not found
POLAND DAMAGES TWO RUSSIAN LANDING SHIPS BEYOND REPAIR!
Non ru sources?
anon if the .ru sources are claiming they're busted, they're busted. Russia is loath to admit any losses, and won't if they don't have to. The idea of claiming something is wrecked when it is not is completely beyond them.
After a while, you start to feel sorry for Wile E Coyote and Elmer Fudd because of their constant pratfalling. Russia is almost at that point, with me
>almost
>not quite
maybe anon was hoping it was another HIMARS strike that finished them off
Why not both?
Fires gutting part of the ship sounds to me like the kind of thing to drive an already past-lifetime engine over the brink and into eating itself.
No moron-Day then
Eh, it's very possible that the engines are busted for real. Russia relies a lot on Western tech, and they don't really have the industrial capacity and R&D to produce replacement parts. Expect to see a lot of shit get simplified or disappear from the shelves as sanctions keep choking the Russian economy.
Highly unlikely, considering it's the two that were damaged in the strike and we have photographic proof they had fires burning below deck on both of them. Coincidences are one thing, but that's just silly.
honestly I think it was legitimately a Tochkta strike. The units had practiced a shoot-and-scoot exercise targeting Berdyansk before the war, they had tried a day or so previously, and we never got any aerial footage like we would have by now if it was a Bayraktar.
I still maintain it was those two guys cruising around in the RIB that the beachside camera caught returning to shore shortly after the explosions
>honestly I think it was legitimately a Tochkta strike.
It was, they practicing with their tochkas for just such an event literally just last year and had the launch pre-plotted which made it that much more accurate
That has less to do with Russian or Western tech and more to do with ships being hard to repair.
Doesn't help that the Russians are incompetent.
LMAO. Fuel injectors for naval diesel engines are literally WWII-era technology. This shit ISN'T hard for anyone with even a remotely functional shipbuilding industry.
Yes, it's quite likely that ships hit by Ukrainian missiles turned out to have faulty engines. As a naval engineer from New York Oblast I can confirm that.
I could certainly imagine a ship developing engine problems after being hit by a missile, especially if it started a big internal fire
Especially if it's parts were already faulty. You have taken a maintenance heavy ship and made it practically un repairable overnight
>A single TB2 strike destroyed 3 ships
Apologize
It was a Tochka U, anon.
>inb4 muh accuracy
They upgraded the missiles to be more accurate, and it’s a cluster warhead so CEP matters less.
Not a TB2 moron. Well out of range, and wouldn't have the payload to scratch a ship as big as that.
Go suck some hairy, circumcised Turkish wiener elsewhere.
>you live in a timeline where Russia basically admit that Poles sunk their two ships
Can't make this shit up.
>this is somehow less embarrassing than admitting the Ukrainians shot a ballistic missile at them
>Poles sunk their ship
>without firing a single shot themselves
>2 ships were disabled by a nation your not even at war with
This literally doesn't matter, Russia's strength lies in it's Army (ground forces).
It matters for attacking port cities efficiently. You've effectively lost an entire front if you can't land troops on the beaches. Combine that with the Harpoon missiles Ukraine have been getting, more severe losses are gonna happen like this because Harpoon ducks shit up like no tomorrow
It unironically looks like the Black Sea Fleet will be out of the war permanently apart from some subs and Crimean coast patrols.
Notice the drastic decrease of navy launched Kalibr's? They probably are close to hitting their war reserve minimums. Most of the fleet is headed to the eastern half of the Black Sea to hide from Harpoons, that means they can't really do anything from that end either.
The Black Sea Fleet is dead now, at least offensively.
Costal artillery is a b***h as it always has been. Just instead of in Iraq where they had crappy Chinese missiles, they have high grade nato hardware to scare them off. Even though Harpoon is older, it's still better than Russian defensive measures
Lies is the right word
no more amphibious landing threat, coastal defence troops can be transferred to the front
Haha, joke's on you otan troony, amphibious landing threat was long gone already. Puccia wins again!
>This literally doesn't matter, Russia's strength lies
Fixed that for you, гoмoceкcyaл
It also lies AT its army.
The STRENGTH to take centimeters of land a week! Hercules weeps tears that he cannot be as Strong
I mean, it's kinda true since their navy and air force are a joke.
You're losing numerous ships to a nation with no Navy Ivan
Oh, it lies with them alright.
>we don't NEED our navy!
Is this picture real?
Whenever I hear about a Russian navy ship I always imagine them emitting giant plumes of black smoke
>Claim to be a super power
>No Navy for Force Projection
ngmi
Next you're going to tell me that the UK still has a powerful Navy that's all over the oceans
I mean the UK does have a powerful navy comparable to most nations, yes. It has bases over the world, yes. It isn't like it used to be, but it isn't some brown water fleet.
Well, it's after another LST they were docked next to exploded, so it's not like it's their engines putting off that much smoke.
Completely forgot we built these. While built for the Russian Navy, we were meant to use them for the invasion of Denmark and Sweden which was supposed to be spearheaded by polish naval infantry. Also the shipyard responsible for these is the same that started the Solidarity movement.
>Is this picture real?
There's a whole webm floating around.
I've worked ships built in Gdansk.
They had license-built Sulzer RND slow speed diesels...7 cylinders if I recall.
I doubt they'd put a slow speed in a landing ship. They probably have medium speeds, MaK or Wartsilas or maybe even Colt-Pielsticks,(keeps your bilges from rusting, they leak so much oil.).
None of these have hard-to-find injectors.
>There's a whole webm floating around
unlike the ships
>Is this picture real?
it's better
>Russia's strength lies in it's Army (ground forces).
My condolences.
Having your ground forces be the best part of your armed forces by default (due to literally everything else being terrible) is such clownlike tomfoolery that really can only come from Russia.
Wasn't there a satellite image of one of those things spinning around in a circle? Now I wonder if it was intentional or if they actually did get that fricked up on that day.
Sure was.
all according to plan, trust the Z
And you lynch Black folks!
we whish.
"Russia is the only country in the world that celebrates independence from Poland
"
that make sense now. they are geting ass pain
Poland used to bully countries around them.
At least they did until I fricked things up.
Thanks, blessed Szlyachta
10/10 find anon
should some one wake up oryx or something?
That missile made one hell of a turn damn. Do we know what this hit, was this the landing ships?
Checked
I'm still confused how this happens. Is it a HARM picking up its own launcher or a control surface malfunction?
It didn't come back at its launcher, it's just this camera angle that makes it look that way.
So was it a HARM? Damn man, what ever little Pantisr system was on the other end got fricked
Dunno but it's happened more than once to der Russoid. The ragheads managed to do it with a Patriot battery once somehow too.
Could be homing in on some tracking radar like counter artillery or a SPAGG near by. Poor friendly shika...
SAMs need to be configured for urban upturn mode to prevent them from chasing a missile that they didn't get on the first pass all the way to the ground. Most of the time it's not really a big deal to have a SAM come down like that in the field, but if you have air defense of a city as your objective obviously you don't want a SAM coming down into someone's dacha.
Unfortunately this time, regular SAM or HARM, it did come flying back. Hope whoever was on the ground got our alright
This was filmed like 3 months ago, well before Ukraine got any HARM'S. The HARM'S are also very likely not ground launched, a Pentagon source allegedly confirmed MiG-29's are launching them
When did they get HARM anyway?
Few weeks ago now
>https://mash.ru/news/156607
Has Trojans in it btw. So another source would be nice.
>Its because perfidious Poland provided them with fake engine parts in 2019
I actually hope this is true, because it'd be incredibly funny if the Russians tried to refit after losing that battle and realized they'd been suckered by Poland and have literally no means of doing ANYTHING about it.
Hato colony has gone too far. There will be consequences...
>Lost a flagship to a country without a navy
>Lost two landing ships to a country NOT IN THE WAR
This is what happens when you spend no money modernizing your own shit and investing nothing into building critical components like ENGINES.
That's fine.
Ships are ephemeral.
Trillions spent on propaganda to subvert the west are what matters.
When Europe freezes AND starves this winter after a decade of being taught to only ever blame their politicians but never electing better ones, then they will surrender to Russia and counter-attack Ukraine from the rear.
I'm certainly glad that rocket attack in Tiraspol was so successful in opening up a western front, truly was worth the effort.
Are we back to wild fantasies of Poland invading Lviv again? Those were a fun strain of cope.
>Of course the official reason is not the damage suffered during ukrainian attack, nosiree. Its because perfidious Poland provided them with fake engine parts in 2019
Damn these perfidious, crafty poles.
Why are r*ssian obsessed with Poles?
you love what you can't touch, poles are the princess in the high tower and amer*ca is the evil dragon keeping ruskis at bay
The poles need to get their navy in order, get way more subs and throw away that crappy kilo class.
They seem to acknowledge their military sucks with how they are buddying up with South Korea and buying K9/K2/FA-50, I don't think they've bothered with upgrading their navy yet.
>discount d-day is forever canceled
>permanently out of the war. and probably will be scrapped.
Damn, the hits keep on coming. Those were some of their newest boats in the Black Sea
It can't possibly be the injectors for the reasons stated above, but also because if nothing else the Russians could buy them from India. FWIW I toured an INS frigate that was manufactured for the Pajeets by Russia. tbh it wasn't a bad design of ship from what I could tell, and it was kept in pretty good working order. Based on my experience with this stuff I think that the Russians just don't know what right looks like anymore, at least as far as their navy goes.
That's always been Russia's SOP.
They come up with good designs, but the execution and materials are shit, and the socket in Western minds where "Preventative Maintenance" plugs into apparently doesnt exist among Vatnik brains.
> Of course the official reason is not the damage suffered during ukrainian attack, nosiree. Its because perfidious Poland provided them with fake engine parts in 2019
Clean it up Putin, clean it up
They already knew that port was a ballistic missile target and their mission was stupid. Just unloading BTRs and ammo which could have been driven there by that point.
I get it that reddit took over this board, but when is ukraine going to make any gains?
They already made steady gains for well over two months now, vatBlack person.

>Russian ships in their natural habitat (defunct and surrounded by smoke)
Poland strikes again
once again the poles are out for blood
