Reloading has gone from a fun hobby to save a couple bucks, to a necessity to be able to shoot at least once a week.

I saw the coof coming a mile off and bought an unreasonably large pile of Murom and Ginex primers. Still chugging along fine thanks to that, haven't touched the ammo stash in years.

Same. It's even harder now that I moved, and now the only passable gun range is nearly an hour away.

Ammo will continue to rise and price guns out of being a recreational activity again
    It'll go back to 2012
Then it'll drop and we'll have a boom of new larpers
Ebb and flow of the culture

Should I stock up now on 9mm at 20 cpr or wait for it to crash and stock up then? As of now I try to keep 500 - 1,000 on hand.

My personal opinion would be stock up now and keep more than 1k on hand. Who knows what election year will bring. I tallied all my ammo the other day and I'm way lower than what I'm comfortable with. Only 4.3k 9mm and doing drills and practice takes up a lot between the two that shoot in our household. I will probably be grabbing more soon.

Crash? Buddy the best you could do when walmart held the price down was like 16cpr, you think you're gonna get better than 20cpr in let's go Brandon Ukraine Russia Haiti Taiwan Israel economy? You are a moron. 20cpr is rock bottom.

I dry fire 15min a day and mostly use live ammo for 2-5 shot recoil control drills. I actually learned to get more out of the range… but no more fun plinking.

Idk man my income has grown disproportionately compared with the rising prices. I can buy more ammo more than I've ever been able to. In a perfect world though I should be be buying way more. Oh well. Hopefully we find a way to kill off all the boomers so the tax rates will ease.

Ammo becomes easier to afford if you stop buying so many cheap bullshit guns you wont shoot after a few hundred rounds.

But then you need.... scopes, trigger pack upgrades, holsters, lights, better springs, grips, slings, tritium sights, red dots, magnifiers, silencers, stocks, foregrips, extra magazines, bipods, chest rigs, armor plates, gun cases, and then.......ammo

      >He didn't have pattern recognition to see that quite literally every 4 years since 2008, ammo prices jump to the moon
Tbf, ammo dropped like a fricking rock from 2015-2019. After Sandyhook you couldn't buy 22lr, and when you could, it was $100 for a 500rnd bulk pack. morons were spending a dollar a round on red army standard 223. It's not like prices have been only up, there's been plenty of fluctuation.

        >It's not like prices have been only up, there's been plenty of fluctuation
Yes and the trend is up, even accounting for inflation. At this point it's just common fricking sense to keep whatever you need to cover your shooting for a year or two on hand.

wtf are you talking about about? 20CPR 9mm is great, 50 CPR 556 is meh but not bad. .22 is still 8CPR.

don't tell me this thread is all zoomie idiots who didn't live through the obama years. back when nice houses were 200k instead of 700 it was real painful to pay 40CPR for 9mm and 60CPR for 556.
