Alright PrepHole, I've asked like 10 Facebook groups with no success. Can someone help me identify what aircraft this equipment was used for, and what it's value might be if sold?

>Board schematics with all of the listed parts
This makes my pp the hard pp.
Have you tried google?
You fucking retarded ape.
Yes I have, but I can't find fucking values for this shit because it isn't regularly bought and sold now is it?
I see. When I googled AN/ASM-387 nothing came up for me. I also have this aircraft battery charger that I think is worth a few thousand. If I could find a buyer...
> I can't find fucking values
Look harder, and use some critical thinking
So you can't find them either huh? It's fine, I've been looking for an actual price for a while. So far I've asked 2 places for a quote and no response months later.
Nah, I know exactly what it’s for and how much it’s worth.
No you dont.
Yeah, I do.
PROTIP: it’s worthless. You MIGHT get 150 out of it, maybe.
Here all the designations
https://www.designation-systems.net/usmilav/electronics.html#_JETDS_AN_Listings
Angle of attack transducer set from an A-7. The designation at the top of the device is your friend.
This anon is correct. Specifically, it's a test set for the A-7
Also, thanks. I was hoping PrepHole would know.
I know the top is a Vaught angle of attack transponder test set, and this is a transducer test set, but for what? Any value? Seems very niche.
>but for what?
Its to test the individual pieces of equipment anon. It's literally telling you what its for
>Any value?
It's a niche collectors item at best, thus making it extremely difficult to sell
I meant what plane, althought when I saw a chart saying A-7 I was looking for a figure, but I'm retarded to be fair. As for selling, I'm wondering if any museums or something might want them. Otherwise I'll see if the military surplus pawn near me wants it.
> I'll see if the military surplus pawn near me wants it.
Lol, no.
These might give you an idea of worth
https://murphyjunk.net/product-category/surplus/military-test-sets
Very helpful. So basically it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. I'll try listing it again for like $300 and seeing what bites.
Just find someone who has a surplus A-7. They're the only ones who would value it.
A surplus A-7 that they intend to fly*
And even then, this seems more like a troubleshooting tool than something you would regularly need. So I doubt they’d bite.
If they can afford an A-7, they can afford the test kit without even having to check their bank account balance.
Is there seriously a market to support expensive antique military aircraft avionics test equipment? This is weirder to me than $5,000 fursuits.
No.
Mate if the interwebs have taught me anything, its that theres nothing so weird that some fucker isnt doing it right now.
There's people who collect antique space avionics & related equipment and in some cases pay hundreds of thousands for, say, some rare Apollo-era comm module. And at least some of them play with aircraft gear too. CuriousMarc on Youtube has a lot of space stuff & also a Bendix flight computer from an old fighter torn apart & tested. But we're talking super super niche here, I'm sure there's a hundred fursuit fags for every one person that collects old avionics.
It's one of those things which might theoretically be worth a lot to the right collector but the number of those collectors is minuscule.
>Any value?
Not really, you'd get less than it would cost to ship on ebay.
Google the very large print that looks like a designation. Then search it on eBay.
I'll give you $20 for it and a coupon for a free Big Mac and McD's
(The coupon expires next week so you gotta act fast)

Not familiar with that exact set but its probably a generic avionics tester. I only worked ECM systems.
