MTL has gotten so good bad translations are almost exclusively from ESL

that said, as a native english speaker i can't help but find a lot of ESL mistakes adorable. thankfully the lingua franca isn't french anymore, good god native french speakers are buttholes about their silent vowel infested gibberish - actually that might be why english so thoroughly mogged it in the "global language" department
most native english speakers i know are like "great job for trying, i can still understand most of what you're getting at even through the mistakes" when communicating with ESL people, especially in person. having lots of bullshit language rules does make english extraordinarily flexible - english words in another language's grammatical order with zero verb conjugation? odds are decent you'll still be understood at some level by native speakers
meanwhile, my impression of native french speakers interacting with french as a second language speakers is summed up by "how dare you speak"
motherfrickers do not understand how to go about cultural victory at ALL

          >meanwhile, my impression of native french speakers interacting with french as a second language speakers is summed up by "how dare you speak"
As a native french speaker I can explain. We genuinely don't understand what you're trying to say. If you're passable at english you can get by, but whenever I hear french spoken in an english show, 75% of the time I genuinely have no fricking idea of what you're trying to say, even if I know the context. You just don't get the inflexions right. Points for trying but I still can't understand you.

            so it's tonal like chinese?

no wonder it's shit at being adopted internationally

or maybe you're mistaking "intonation" for "pronunciation", in which case the diversity of english dialects and vocabulary of native speakers alone requires an immense capacity to adjust to the speaker compared to a language that just expects the speaker to do all the work for you.

is french so homogenized that adult speakers have english elementary school kid levels of difficulty adapting to accents?

Legit question, how would this happen. if this was an editing mistake they would have caught it and never published it. But I have never seen that kind of an artifact in my many years working on digital and analog video transmission. Compression doesn't make sense either since P or B frames never miss their intended positions by more then a few pixels and the "real" explosion never went into the position. Also curious is the fact the disappearance of the false explosion happens 2 frames after the nearest I frame. Unless the Russians are using a complex algorithm to compress the data like that of ARGUS-IS or Gorgon stare I dont see how that is possible

they consider the ability to quickly pump out 5000 pieces of sub-par propaganda that have good splash on 500 000 people in the short-term superior to the ability to deliver perfected propaganda that will initially affect only a minor population but have a stronger long-term effect

                >It is not the case that plausibility and advisor reliability do not affect participants’ truth ratings. They both play a large role.
                >In our study, plausible statements were more likely to be judged “true” than implausible statements and in Unkelbach and Greifender (2018) participants were more likely to follow an advisor’s advice when the advisor was more reliable.
                >However, the increase in perceived truth due to repetition was equivalent across all levels of reliability in Unkelbach’s study and our results are consistent with repetition being equivalent across all levels of plausibility

Russia does good fakes and bad fakes. It does fake Ukrainian fakes to make it seem like Ukraine is resorting to fakes (which is probably being done anyhow). They also do their own very obvious fakes, like the 81mm mortar that blows up the "Ukrainian" and looks like a fireworks cache.

Here is my thought, they want even the most gullible person to say "wow, there are lots of fakes," and not trust anything. Why did /misc/gays Photoshop a Molotov into the hands of the manlet Kyle killed and spam it for the first few days? People already sided with him here?

Because people fake just to do it, but also because they want people to doubt everything. Russia is extremely post modern. Doubt everything, then decide all that is left is "feel = reals," and double down on it. /misc/ is 100% like this too, max post modernism, discredit any idea of facts. All facts can be explained 100% by the motivations of who they come from. Trust no one. Then feels become all that is real.

Same shit as when hyper libs say tribal magic ritual is "just another way of knowing."

            >say tribal magic ritual is "just another way of knowing."
I'm not defending the crystal chasers but in same cases there is genuine merit to that statement, with a particularly prominent local example for me being the aboriginal practice of traditional burnings - which are as it turns out literally just a more efficient form of the regular fuel burn offs we do now, but dressed in a bunch of religious mumbo jumbo
In this case, the "different way of knowing" is the way they developed this technique through thousands of years of iterative practical application and passed it down through the oral tradition rather than coming to the same conclusion via the scientific method and writing it down in a book

There's been plenty of glitched footage where similar things happen. Compression with data interrupted data transfer combined with an algorythm that doesn't skip the frames, probably results in this.

It is when it is done in a knee-jerk manner as if they are an automatic good. Most of the western US burns to a crisp every summer because it is too overgrown with planted trees and they stopped managing timber 30 years ago. The basics of stand-off and green space are ignored because grandparents are obsessed with their grandchildren playing under a Ponderosa pine that they planted for Arbor Day back in the 70's and when the next prairie fire rolls in it burns down their house and takes out most of the neighborhood.
