A titanium BCG is a no brainer....

Removes the recprocating mass, tons of aftermarket tuning options to make it work, p4p stronger than steel, and thermal expansion is a meme that will not even be achieved in a 10hr firefight.

Why haven't you guys jumped on Titanium BCGs train?

Who the frick needs to take a class in gunsmithing? Even a monkey can diagnosis a malfunctioned AR.

Ya sorry you are a moron. The literal designer of the Ar15 made a new BCG with SF a few years ago and what did he do to improve on his design he increased the BCG weight. What do you think the point of all the heavier buffers are for? Lightweight buffers are for highly tuned comp guns. Not duty guns.

you don't want to get rid of too much mass or reliability will suffer. I use this. a bit light, but not too light. and slick AF.

You don't wanna do that you fricking moron. Bolt carrier mass is an important factor for reliability.

The only new bolt carriers that matter are the ones that allow you to ditch the buffer tube. This one is a meme but the tech is getting there.

well yeah the BRN is superior to the standard ar15. but this BCG is great for people that already have an AR15 and want to improve it with a $500 bolt carrier instead of buying an entirely new weapon. Most people would prefer a simple "drop in" upgrade instead of going the nuclear option

          >well yeah the BRN is superior to the standard ar15
at what? Breaking? Having the handguard fall off? Having the barrel nut come loose? Having the charging handle break?

post examples of that happening and then we can have a discussion.

If you haven't heard of any of those you must not be paying attention at all.

So what exactly is the BRN-180 better than the AR-15 at? Except of course being foldable, so the gun is better when you're not shooting. Cause that should really be the focus of a rifle after all, how good it is to not shoot.

            >barrel nut come loose
I thought the brn-180 doesn't use a barrel nut like an ar-15, doesn't the barrel thread directly into the upper receiver?

Good because nobody else wants that shit, you'll never shoot it enough to need to replace any of your proprietary stupid parts because of how fricking stupid hot they get

Doesn't titanium weaken under heat and mechanical strain far more than steel?

The Lochsneed SR-71 wasn't made out of steel.

the exact opposite. titanium has poor wear resistance though. there's no reason to choose it over steel for a BCG.

Removing mass from the bcg of an ar15 is the single most imbecilic backwards fricktarded thing you could possibly do. Eugene stoner is rolling in his grave. Frick you you fricking stupid moron.

While titanium is stronger pound for pound the locking lugs are the same size as the steel ones. This means that the locking lugs are more likely to fail.
