> A third son, Hyung Jin “Sean” Moon, founded a separate, gun-centered church in Pennsylvania known as Rod of Iron Ministries, where followers do target practice with AR-15s and bring guns to church to be blessed. Hyung Jin wears a golden crown made of rifle shells, and delivers hate-filled sermons against the Democratic Party. He also expects to become the king of America. He reviles his mother—who runs the international church in South Korea—as the “whore of Babylon.”

          >Zero institutionalized tradition
Ding ding ding we have a winner. That right there is the problem.

I hate it when the subject of religion in america gets brought-up and everyone just repeats the same memes about bubba's 42nd Holy Pentecostal Church of the One, Triune, Godhead and the Hosts and Saints of Heaven. The idea that there was a lack of organized religion in america is simply absurd. From the very start there was organized religions, with the Anglican church, of course, being the predominant one, followed by all sorts of smaller non-conforming denominations such as Baptists and Separatist Puritans and what have you. What's more, religion played an important role in how the colonies were governed, such as was the case in the Massachusetts Bay Colony where the eligibility to vote was dependent on church membership, or the various others which had requirements of religious affiliations in order to hold public office. It's not like this stuff was restricted to small, isolated communities, it was how most of the continent was ran. The difference between how Christianity in America was organized, and how it was organized in Europe, was that it was simply more decentralized. There was only so much Britain could do to ensure conformity considering how far America was from them, allowing for dissenting denominations to become more prominent there. This can be seen in how the Puritans in New England were able to enact their more radical ideas without having to deal with the Laudian program that those in Britain had to contend with. What's more, this decentralization allowed believers in America to be far more involved in how their churches were ran, making them generally more democratic in structure and operation (these developments both mirrored and influenced those that occurred in colonial governance).

Finally, the fact that the vast majority of colonialists were Protestants, particularly of the hotter variety, meant that there tended to be a large emphasis on doctrines and ideals particular to Protestantism, namely the priesthood of all believers and the importance of a personal relationship with God. This meant that Christians were expected to read, interpret, and understand the Bible, and giver serious consideration as to where their faith was placed. This of course meant that people tended to have strong opinions on theological matters, and to act on them accordingly. So, to answer the question

Why do Americans get so autistic with religions.

posed, the reason Americans get autistic about religion, is because we have had the greatest amount of freedom to do so.

It wouldn't be the same. The point is to have a mug from the gun cult. I think it would be fun and an interesting story, just not enough to give them my personal info.

I was going to see if I could get a post office box or have it delivered to a post office but the minimum term is 6 months and it's like $200. So, total cost would be >$230. I don't want the mug that badly. A friend also offered to have it shipped to their house and I told them there was no way I would ship it to someone else's house for the reason of not wanting it shipped to mine.

It always baffles me that in american they actually carry parcels to your door.
In my country you choose between a machine that they take your packages to, or you can pick up at the nearest parcel pickup station, usually a 7-11 or similar.
If you chose the machine none of your personal info except name and phone number will be on the package.
Now this would open up avenues like using a fake name and a burner phone
But alas, Americans are too lazy to retrieve their mail from a postal office, so you're stuck just handing out every detail to whatever place you're ordering from, be it Garden World, Bad Dragon or a cult that sells cool mugs

just make sure its "The UPS store", and not ups itself. that means its just a local mail place that ups bought and rebranded. its not actually ups. theres some dumb reasoning behind it, but it lets them have a business address that looks like a home address, so you can send usps stuff to it when normally you cant for insertotherdumbreasonhere. usps is also not ups. explaining this to customers is about as fun as you would expect it to be.

You believe this because you are a Christian that comes from historically Christian lands.

What are your thoughts on Indonesian religion?

Any Asian that believes in abrahamic religions to me is a weak minded person who betrays their own history and culture. Contrary to what my church preaches I do not think everyone should be a Christian, culture is more important than anything else, and they’re not of Anglo-American culture and they will never understand it. Maybe their kids will, but that’s a hard maybe. What we are comes from our own history and traditions which are completely different from most peoples.

        >The religion is not of their land
You fucking retard, no religion is "of land". It's an ideological system, not a soil sample, and the whole point of some of them is to be universal.

Have you ever thought about *why* your values are correct, beyond just some aesthetic preference?

Christianity was invented by israeli and Greek meds who would have seen most of your ancestors living in that time as borderline subhuman savages. Christianity was spread to your ancestors largely by the influence of a continental superpower that united thousands of different tribal and language groups under one banner.

There's nothing about Christianity or even the particular branch of Jimbob's Branch Dravidians that you happened to be born into that makes it more comprehensible to anglos than any other tribe- and if anything I'd argue that anglos collectively have been more egregious than any other race in mucking it up and completely distorting the religion- case in point, you.

I mean shit dude, I think Paul uses the phrase "neither greek nor israelite" like 4 different times in the Bible.

Indonesians are all homos. They aren't allowed around girls when they're young so they all end up getting fucked by their unlces or something.

You fucking retard, no religion is "of land". It's an ideological system, not a soil sample, and the whole point of some of them is to be universal.

Have you ever thought about *why* your values are correct, beyond just some aesthetic preference?

That's a folk religion, as in tied to a culture, not the earth. The landscape might influence people but the soil doesn't know they belive they crawled out of it or whatever.

Yet it has been largely replaced by islam and pushed back to its native land

idk, like the other anon said, Pajeets managed to adapt to it pretty well. why, in some of the eastern most states like Nagaland and Mizoram, the people there are so devout that they basically run them like theocracies (and with a surprising amount of competence too). Keep in mind these guys started out as tribal headhunters. If they managed to adapt to Christianity so well, i don't see why anyone else couldn't.

Kahr's had a brief period of popularity as very small pocket semi-autos a decade ago. They fell out of favor because they were horribad DAO triggers and stagger stacks killed them on capacity. I still see them in used sections of gun stores on occasion, priced way too high.

Shinzo Abe's cult was focused in reinvigorate the Japanese spirit and bringing native jap birthrate back to growth territory, anyone against that is a DEI Marxist.

Christianity has been in Europe and North Africa/Levant for a millennia. The three major churches that make up Christianity are the Catholics, the Orthodox, and the Protestants. They all come from Europe. The lesser sects all come from lands close to Europe with serious historical connections to Europe. European culture and Christianity have been intertwined forever. Christianity is absolutely a religion of the European/Mediterranean. Again, you’re a stupid person incapable of understanding that “of the land” means of the people and culture, not “our religion comes from worshipping the Rhine.”

And if you wanna throw some gay shit about the land and culture, France is a nation and geographic place named after the French people who inhabit the land. The french are tied to their land. Do you get it?

            Anonymous

France is named after the Franks, who were a minority tribal group that ruled over the majority population of Romanized Gauls. It's called France because of the rulers, not the people who inhabited it.The French national identity emerged out of identification with this state, not the other way around.

Christianity made it to China at least as early as the 7th century and survived into the middle ages.

Muslims showed up in China around the same time and have been there ever since, and the ethnic Chinese ones aren't even persecuted.

Waco was not a gun cult though, even cult is stretching it as they were more of a sect which had a long standing history in the area and were open to outsiders. The gun shit was something that they adopted as a source of revanue and went all in on in the end with selling firearms at gun shows and being a supplier for near by gunstores. The alleged illegal assault weapons they were manufacturing were later acknowledged to be false and they were indeed licensed to produce such firearms. The ATF are probably not going to be touching moonie gang anytime soon though due to Waco being such a sore spot decades later.
