        No.

    >round that relies entirely on velocity out out of a short carry gun barrel
It'd be ridiculously loud and have the ballistics of a ruger wrangler, and if it was thin enough to be easier to carry than a 9mm then the grip would be so weird shaped that no one could shoot it well.

      >short carry gun barrel
an FN Five Seven has a 4.8in barrel, and that's full size. a Glock 26 has a 3.42in barrel as a subcompact. I think a 4in barrel would be a good compromise between size and performance and aesthetics

Or, hear me out, use the Boberg/Bond Bullpup action and keep the full length barrel and also have a compact overall length.

Uh, congratulations, you just fixed the boberg's bullet pull issue

The engineers at Bond Arms or whoever holds the patent now are leaving money on the table by not making this.

I kinda doubt bond arms has any engineers. The only shit they make are derringers and they bought the boberg design. I’m sure it’s essentially magic to those lead paint lickin Texans.

what bond arms is really leaving money on the table with is refusing to make a derringer with multiple caliber barrels

but it's a .22LR single shot. I want a 5.7 or similar semiauto. Is that so much to ask for?

They make them in 9mm and a few other calibers I can't remember off the top of my head, but they're also a bit thiccer too.

Why? So you have to waste critical seconds and make extra steps to deploy it in a situation where you might need it? Ever think of that?
