3D Printed guns -

With the huge surge in the 3D printed gun community, has anyone designed a fully DIY pistol yet that's viable and semi reliable, similar to the FGC9?

so he doesn't get his prints on it when they kill a political opponent with it and tie it back to the guy who made it, or something.

There is zero point to this pic rail. These people are slightly smarter than the general population but they still dont understand guns because they're high off their own farts

silicon valley rejects that lash out through impotent political activism. Seriously watch any Vice interview or similar outlet and these people are massive gays.

I don't believe that design was made by an American.

That doesn't really excuse being retarded. Its video game dev levels of retardation. You dont need to be American to not be retarded.

Have you heard the term, "cargo cult?" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmlYe2KS0-Y

I think that a lot of low-IQ people try to mimic things without understanding them. I think it happens a lot more than just with natives on pacific islands. I think the same mental process explains the way that Darrell Brooks acted at his trial. Like the natives of the pacific islands, Brooks observed people getting favorable results, so he tried to mimic those people. But he lacks the IQ to understand any of it.

I have also seen it with Indian programmers. They throw seemingly random libraries at a problem and they can't even explain why they're doing what they're doing.

I think this gun is another manifestation of this phenomenon.

I think it's a carry over from the original one that had a super short barrel, and was there so you could put a light on the side.
Whoever created this long version just stretched it out and slapped a handgrip area in the center.

it's not the normal front end, looks like something AWCY yet released, like a alien marine rifle lookalike meme frontend.

probably used it because you can just download if of vanilla websites like thingiverse without raising too much suHispanicion, not that it worked for him anyway

The regular FGC-9 receiver has a top rail.
End user for whatever reason mixed a rail-less design with a handguard that has a top rail dimensioned to match a top rail on the FGC-9.
The term "cargo cult" is thrown around a lot, but it's really specific. The end user may not know how to modify the files
Cargo cult would be adding a rail where there wasn't one to begin win, not understanding that it's better to put it on the receiver. Not knowing how to mess with CAD and just slapping parts together isn't "cargo cult" because the user wasn't trying to do anything. He just mixed parts he got off the internet.

there is a point, it looks like the perfect place to mount a brass catcher. other than that it is useless though

was it done to make it look like a toy? like with the use of the nerf colored plastic for the other parts.

Honestly I've seen dollar store toy blasters with nonsensical rails and what not like this all the time. If I didn't know better I wouldn't look at a kid or dude twice who had one

Threadly reminder there is no fight between 3D printing and traditional machining.
Attention seeking gays and divide/conquer shills will try to make it seem like it’s either one or the other when they usually compliment each other well.
Don’t take the bait and never reply to namefags no matter what

I want a 3d printer so I can make myself a nerd blaster.
Also the caliber for nerf blasters is just about a .50 Beowulf.

    >a fully DIY pistol
You mean without a parts kit for a commercial gun? Why not just print a Glock frame and buy the slide and other stuff?

      %3D

Plastic barrel, plastic shells, black powder you could make at home, no primer.

Seems to me like it would be better to 3d print a mold so you can make the shells out of silicone. The initial setup would be more involved but it would allow you to produce ammunition in much higher volumes.

It's an interesting proof of concept, but the whole design is overcomplicated and his "caseless" ammo should really be redesigned.

All it really needs to be is a proof of concept to shut people up, which is it's primary purpose.

      Reasons.

Because in most of the world, even in countries with high gun ownership rate like Serbia, Czech Republic and Canada, parts like barrels and slides are already or will be regulated soon.

Euros have it easy unlike most of the world when it comes to making guns. Its super easy to buy a "deactivated" m16 and just mill out the block in the magwell and barrel. This is why the US bans deactivated guns from being sold to the US, only allowing a very specific demill that can often also be rewelded by someone with experience.

          >Its super easy to buy a "deactivated" m16 and just mill out the block in the magwell and barrel
The bolt has a cut that chews off 50% of the breechface, the firing pin channel and the chamber are filled with weld, etc.
The real loophole weren't deactivated guns but blank fire guns because those still has a workable firing pin and an intact chamber.

For most guns the EU demil fucks it up hard, but for a gun like an AR since most of it is plug and play and is modular you just swap out the cucked bits with the good ones and off you go, I guess the hard part is gettin a BCG or a barrel in Europe, unless you have a CNC machine

              Anonymous

So you just have to remake the bolt, get a barrel, break the welds holding the carrier in place, break the welds in the pin blocking the magwell and break the welds in the trigger mechanism.
You'd be better off trying to look for a parts kit with the "gun" parts removed.

I saw a video if a UK Deactivated M16A1, and it would take like 3 replacement parts to unfuck it, that AK... nope she's done

                Anonymous

After the Islamic Chimpout of the Mid-2010s the UK deact spec became just as bad as the rest of the EU.
Which missed the point because they were using the aforementioned blank guns converted to live fire.

The point of gun control is not to prevent mass shootings. The point of mass shootings is to enable gun control.
British glowmorons use the same tactics as American glowmorons.
