I don't know what compelled somebody to make this, but it is based.
Speaking of the Urbie, what is the nittiest and grittiest we could get on its specifications? Was there ever a chronological era in BT it was any good?
A meta era? Enlighten me, Urbie bros.

Less a chronological era and more a geographical one: like most cheap light mechs, it becomes vastly more valuable the farther you get from the inner sphere.

More valuable because most of the infrastructure for parts is closer to the core. The best Urbanmechs would be whatever Comstar has most likely.

More valuable because way out in the boonies having an actual Battlemech, any Battlemech, makes you the king shit of the local hill. Like, we're talking places where a fricking Charger-1A1 is basically an unstoppable man-controlled kaiju instead of something everybody makes fun of.

Lore-wise, you should be able to find a bunch of bnc-3e banshees mothballed in the periphery.

Way back when, FASA did pic relevant in an official release, using the edited pic for describing an in-universe event. It's became a running gag thanks to that, and the gag was revived when people got caught accidentally using the edited pic in actual history lessons.

      urban combat.
no, that's it. era doesn't matter. it was literally made for an urban combat version of the game. that's partially why it's so slow - you could take damage by running into walls going too fast.

its also surprisingly well armored for a light mech

Why do Uniongays screech every time something remotely, slightly pro-Confederacy is posted? It's just a silly fantasy picture. The South won't rise again, so why fear anything like that?

Laughing about southerners dying to IEDs doesn't sound American. In fact I think Ive seen your shilling before in another thread where all you care about is Americans dying. Just saying you don't sound white.

Since when is the Confederacy politically incorrect?
Maybe if you're a silly yankee revisionist who is terrified of the world finding out that the north was just as racist, as the south...

Stuff like this always makes me wonder, how historic wars would change if you inserted a limited number of modern military gear (and their logistics chain) into it.
Like if Germany got a couple of modern tanks in WW1, sure they could push in literally any front, but they can only be in one place at a time.

      Anonymous

I think you could do quite a lot. The news of an impenetrable death machine trawling the battlefield could cause a whole front to collapse.
