.30 Pencildick - A New Revolver Round

.30 Super Carry has about the same power as 9mm but a smaller diameter so you can stack more of them into the same pistol magazine.

Would it possible to make a similar cartridge for revolvers? I calculated that a straightwalled, rimmed version of .30 Carbine (7.62x33mm) gives %20 more capacity compared to .357 Magnum (9x33mmR). It would be cool to have a 7-shot magnum revolver.

    So, 327 fed mag?

That’s 8x30mmR, I was planning on 7.62x33mmR, which is kinda similar to ye olde .32WSL

Literally already exists you fucking nogunz war tourist. It's called .327 Fed Mag, it was the predecessor to .30 SC which failed the same way that .30 SC will.

        .327 fed mag uses a .312" bullet

          .312” is 8mm, just like 8mm Mauser

8mm mauser uses .318 or .323 depending if irs or is variants.

personally op, ive been designing a .14 cal, telescoped caseless round specifically for a high capacity revolver project ive been toying around with. my intention is to have the ability to defeat soft armor, with 0 chance of the gun jamming.

.357 uncircumcised. When paired with a revolver that works like the Nagant revolver it creates a gas seal. This you can do anything from suppressed subsonic wadcutters all the way up to 357 maximum, and anywhere in between, in a single gun that does not fling brass everywhere.

What would be even cooler would be an 8-shot magnum revolver. Even more amazing would be if you could use a readily available magnum cartridge instead of some memeshit. Oh wait, it already exists...

      I liked .327, and it's parent .32 H&R Magnum as well. 🙁
I like the concept of .30SC except that it will never be offered in anything other than boring plastic striker fired monstrosities.

12+1 single stacked in a 1911 is impressive. That’s ~22+1 or so in a double stack, and a 30 rounder that’s more or less just a baseplate addition

9mmfags will argue that this isn't what peak performance looks like.

.70" case diameter, rimless, 1.18" oal, 30 degree shoulder .50" bullet diameter
you could probably fit about seven in a Glock 17-sized gun

I like both of the calibers in concept. Not enough to pay to beta test them though

.22 case necked-up to .45cal. All the power of .45 with capacity of a .22.
