Just secede western Anatolia with Constantinople into a non-moron kemalist secular state, throw all islamists out of it, and let it join EU. I don't care what happens to the rest.

Turkish people were the reason they were even a problem in the first place. The Byzantines had several treaties with the Arabs.

Unfortunately, the Turkic mercenaries the Byzantines hired betrayed the Byzantines at Manzikert. They switched sides to the Seljuks, their relatives, right before the battle started. This is how Anatolia was won by the Seljuk Turks.

If you think about it, it was bound to happen sooner or later. Asian countries like Japan and Korea basically outpaced Europeans in every major industry from computers to phones to even cars. So it's not really surprising Korea after successfully dominating so many other markets won't also dominate the arms industry. If you're already using a Korean phone and driving a Korean car why not buy a Korean tank as well?

Korea is so tied to the US(and US industry) that they might as well be a US colony with an asian coating. If you think America isn't getting a cut of korean exports somehow you're insane. It's why Korean goods sell so well in the US, they have near-zero tarrifs because they invest in american companies just as often.

          Not really.
About 70% of Korean export is directed towards China.
Their whole diplomatic strategy is to befriend all America, Russia, and China thereby isolating North Koreans.
This has obviously and ulitmately failed, but my point still stands: S. Koreans have deeper "economical" ties with China than the US.
Not to mention the fact that they have been borrowing Russian missile technologies for their own space programs.
This also goes well with the fact that both Russians and Chinese are keen on keeping Korea aligning with Japan and the US, so they are more lenient on such issues, whereas the US would restrict them from researching any long range strike capabilities.
That being said, it could be said South Koreans are only outsourcing security issues to the US. Their goods are superior and sold all over the world, not limited to America. And China is where the money (bulk of the population) is at.

I worded it poorly. My point was Japan showed how you can outpace Europeans even if they got lazy and stagnated. Korea then took lessons from it and began aggressive expansion whenever possible not stopping ever. China will likely take this even further but they're not even at the phones and cars stage. Euros (Scandinavia excluded) meanwhile survive exclusively on legacy industries and contracts. They refuse to innovate and similarly to the Japanese feel like the world is ever unchanging. The Japanese got their rude awakening earlier and so will the Euros soon.

I think the K2 is probably the tank of choice for somewhat well of third and second world nations. It’s certainly decent bang for the buck. Especially, if you can’t afford the real deal. Turkey and Poland are probably going with it in the future and other second world nations will likely follow.

        Cool story bro.
They couldn’t even build any somewhat solid gear without license until recently. It’s okay, but not a great tank. Leos and Abrahams are equal. They each do have individual issue, but both much better than the K2. Tanks won’t be such a big thing in the future. Hence the cheap option comes in handy for the second world. Where the expensive and maintenance intensive, but much better choice isn’t available.

And warlords with 90 K-shit tanks end up routed by the higher IQ supreme warlord who got the Type 10 and had Mitsubishi F-3s screaming overhead to lay waste to their foes.

For into the vacuum, glorious Nippon shall emerge.

You keep saying that even when K9 has an over 50% market share as of now.
Even UAE has decided to get on the SK weapon bandwagon instead of weeb wunderwaffe.

turkey developed its own tank with help of koreans. it's not carbon copy of k2. for example it doesnt have autoloader. army thinks it's unreliable and increases costs unnecessarily.

If it's not total wunderwaffe level trash, this thing is only one or two steps off from being a fricking Bolo.

The Type 10 is better than the K2

Type 10 is worse than chinese tanks, realistically slightly better than a t72, there are ifvs that would demolish the japanese type 10

The next better tier are challengers, leclercs, merkava

Then the next better are leopard 2s and m1s

K2 is at the top today at the highest tier

    >Most middle powers have replaced their tanks with K2's
    >replace third generation tank with another third generation tank instead of going for the next generation
Korean shills have been extremely moronic lately.

There’s an old french comedy skit where a french guy tries to buy new batteries in various shops, and face problems all the time (card reader not working, wrong type of batteries, etc). In the end, he finds an old small french shop but the inside in full of a chinese familly that just bought it to open a restaurant. He’s about to leave when the chinese hears he was looking for batteries, and offers to sell some to him, any type in any quantity, and ask him if he wants a refrigerator too, in various colors, or a microwave or a new phone.
You get the gits of it. On one side you have the german that makes it a pain in the ass to buy his stuff, with constant barriers to what you can do with it, upgrade or resell it. On the other hand, the asian offers his shit at a good price, and is very open about cooperation, tech transfert, building locally, localized variants etc
