False. You can mobilize a million men, but the only use for them would be human waves a la rus without having enough weapons and ammo.

        Anonymous

they only lack men because they dont have enough advanced weapon systems and munitions
if 99% of everything your enemy throws at you dies in artillery fire or other ranged weapons and all incoming fire is taken down by defense or counter-batteried your own losses will be minimized

Men is arguably the smallest part of modern mechanised warfare, they basically only exist to stabilise and slow down the front, once you get material advantage, the kill ratios start going HEAVY towards the side with the most effective weapons.

Russia an north Korea still make substantially more new shells per year than US an EU combined...

Tank production is increasing and far higher than what Ukraine gets.

Plane production should reach 40 to 50 units all together this year per year which is pitifully low but an improvement and more than what Ukraine gets.

Overall unless the west decides to really take this conflict seriously (and the west definitely can outproduce Russia if it really wants to) than the Ukrainians are going to be at a perpetual disadvantage.

        Anonymous

This. Particularly since it seems like the US isn't going to give any more aid until the election is over, and by that time a lot of damage will be done. Russia just had its most rapid advances in over a year and the AFU being starved for ammunition is the major contributor.

It's pretty frustrating that it passed the Senate and that Johnson admits it would overwhelmingly pass the House, and that a handful of morons can basically dictate that the US abandon its ally, especially when they are so, so moronic.

Instead of sending a hodgepodge of mismashed equipment, why not have NATO members sit down and decide who will send what. Focus on only 1 type of tank, AIFV, SPA, fighter etc. to remove duplication of effort, logistics and training. Also, it high time for Ukraine to be mass producing its own vehicles.

Obviously, there is no question of Russia staying in Crimea or Ukraine. It has been a strategically contested area previously. The manner in which the Ukrainians have eradicated more than half of Russians cold war stockpile including all their best equipment and pre war ground forces will just accelerate to the elimination of the remainder of the Russian air force and then the reconstruction of Ukraine. Its particularly good that the rebuilding of Ukraine will absolutely ensure that no aid or marshall plan style help will be offered to the Russians for bringing forth Putin and their state contamination of the internets and sponsorship of terrorism worldwide for a generation. I wonder how teh Russian public will feel when even the thick fog of Kremlin lies parts and it becomes obvious even to them no form of Russian victory is possible and that Russia has lost this war utterly.

They are down another thousand since covert cabal did his OSI satellite count so they would have roughly 5-6 thousand in storage however they undoubtedly took the best ones first and that stockpile is down from 14.5 thousand so what's left is probably not in great shape and is the guns that have been cannibalised for barrels, shot out, or badly deteriorated. The APS is far more puzzling as those there should be many thousands more of them in reserves even as they approach loosing all of their pre war in service count, yet they are already using been hill tier alternatives like those Chinese atvs. They have been using MT-LBs for a year as well. It looks like that the 19000 reserve APCs that Russia had on paper don't exist are are actually Rusted away

    >dude, Ukr. Commander-in-chief personally repeated they need 500.000 recruits
More than half of that is for new regiments in preparation for additional ru regiments appearing. A ton of that is needed just for rotation of existing forces. Half a million was a case of "ask for more, then haggle and settle for less". 300,000 is the target to mobilize across 2024.
