The forward assist is nice to have but it's not at all worth the extra machine time and material to make it.

Build a time machine and go back to 2015 to stop moot from adding /qa/.

/qa/ didn't turn into wojak spamming PrepHole tier homosexualry until r*ddit deleted all their wojak boards. It was all delete /misc/ and 2D/random.

    >MG
Sir the budget documents specifically call it an "Assault Rifle"

Please keep that nomenclature in mind next time you post.

At least that explains the lack of a quick detach barrel. Seems like a really weird omission on the army's part considering how otherwise solid looking the m250 is.

It's worse, SIG put a quick detach barrel on the original and the army TOLD THEM to remove it after the first round of testing.

The Army told everyone it was a requirement and then told Sig "it's okay, you don't actually need it" when it turned out to be too much of a pain in the ass to swap.

No, it was never a requirement, and the other program entrants also didn't have it.

Why would you bother lying about something so easily disproved?

Go ahead and show me where it requires a quick change barrel.

It's weird how people try to lie so brazenly when they can be so easily disproven

I guess he didn't expect me to be autistic enough to remember the NGSW requirements from 4-5 years ago. Or that I could just google "NGSW PPON" and it would be the first result.

              > non-black color not lighter than Light Coyote 481 and not darker than Coyote 499
I wondered why all the NGSW prototypes were shit brown, guess the army really doesn't want black rifles anymore.

from what I gather, most people who use it think it's a good rifle. Less ammo is an issue, but I think it won't be as big an issue as people think if we have drones and whatnot for logistics for unmounted infantry. Can have those little spot frickers going back and forth carrying clip bandoliers
