Thinking about joining as a 19k tanker. Thoughts on that PrepHole? Is it gay or very gay? I just want to smash through enemy lines blowing up enemy armor while I drown out the sound of infantry dying to artillery fragments by blasting nu metal. Is that so much to ask?
>>>/no/
Ex fucking cuse me anon?
13/10 gay
It's the kind of gay even Indians would he creeped out by.
Really gay
Dont leave your son in that tank alone gay. Sleepers was about a 19k tank molesting kids in juvenile hall. That's why we have 'roll out" and hood rat bitch
Part 1
>russians projecting about rape again
Ivan fuck off noone cares what happened
you should be joining the military for a job, not to drive cool hecking tanks around
they do not need tankers in corporate america and if you want to wrench on tracked vehicles just go to a trade school and become a heavy equipment mechanic
Fag take. I want to join with the explicit purpose of wanting to go to war in a tank.
People do join longer than 4 years and make careers in the military retard
Joining the military for a job is stupid because you can get the same civilian jobs for way higher pay and less bs. The only reason to join now is to drive and shoot cool tanks/aircraft/guns or whatever.
>muh work experience
It's not 2009 anymore
It actually doesn't matter anymore, the best thing about military service is networking and abusing nepotism when you get out. It's a place to belong, test yourself, build confidence and meet people, then get each other ahead on the outside.
Networking and a reputation will take you more places than any trade will.
Never understood how someone networks.
This
t. Secretary of the Army wrote my OCS recommendation letter
There's no reason he can't work on a degree while he's in.
Even if he doesn't, if he's like 19 he can have his fun and switch to a more useful MOS when he's done.
You probably won't be doing cool stuff like that very often but there's nothing wrong with serving your country so go for it.
Any current or former 19kfags on PrepHole? Any stories or thoughts?
99.9% of your life will be spent doing anything but being a tanker and for the brief moment you do get to be in the tank you don't get to do anything fun.
I was in from 2011-2015 and nothing was going on so that is probably why, but the guys from the invasion seemed like they had a good time, the training is pretty fun though.
manlet thread
I'm 6ft, is there a height limit for being an Abrams crewmember?
6'1 apparently.
I read that somewhere too, but then I saw The Chieftain is 6'5" and was able to crew the Abrams.
Do not go in enlisted if you can avoid it. Go in as an officer so you can go 19a instead
>need college degree
ew
Enjoy being paid less and dealing with bullshit work I guess
Controversial yet true opinion:
Needing a college degree to become an officer is an extremely outdated concept and would make more sense to simply offer a pipeline to enlisted who wish to become officers and take on leadership positions, NCO to commission. The idea that one kid is better than another because one has a piece of paper that says he knows something that has no relation to the job he's going to do in the military is stupid.
They have mustang programs that do exactly that, offer a pipeline for enlisted to go officer.
Yes joining the military in 2023 is very gay no matter what mos
19k$ for burning to death in a metal coffin? It’s a rip off!
2 million rubles? Wheяe дo I sigи?
China has been producing Javelin clones for the last 10 years so you probably won’t survive contact with the enemy.
Cold War/Desert Storm tank life = best tank life.
All down hill from there. (19K, 1986-1990, short IRR adventure in '91)
<---- What are those?
vape
smoke dischargers for concealment
>combat/combat oriented MOS
>in peacetime
>when conventional wars involving said equipment and skills are practically extinct and entirely unlikely soon if ever again
NGMI. You will never drive your tank through enemy lines, engaging armored threats, crushing your enemy's bodies under your treads. You will always be a base-bitch, at most deployed for show-of-force, but never in a way that your tank is actually designed for. Face it anon, the glory days are over. The future is sitting in an air-conditioned trailer piloting a drone onto heads and arming third-worlders to kill each other.
>failed states requiring US interventions will never happen
>Crisis that require the US to spread freedom and democracy for resources will never happen
>insurgents and paramilitary forces that can actually hide from drones due to not being in the desert will never happen
>....."domestic issues"..... will never happen
Sure
Yes, never. The last time the Abrams fought anything resembling what it was supposed to was when we steamrolled the 4th most powerful nation in the world within like 2 days. We're too strong, and so nobody worth fighting will ever fight us. Those fancy super-carriers, tanks, hell most of the aircraft we have, will never have the chance to fulfill their purpose. The F22 will retire with its only victories being weather balloons. Your best chance at being a combat-experienced tanker with a T90 kill under your belt is to join the Ukie Foreign Legion and convince them you crewed one, because they're the only ones using them to actually fight. Better hurry, though, or you'll only have T34s and IS2s to kill.
You should look up how effective SEAD operations were during the US intervention with Serbia.
You should do it. The army needs morons like you.
