Assuming this is real for the sake of argument I wonder which types they are.
We know Russia can produce about 50 to 200 "modern" T90s per year while the rest of its tanks are cannibalized from the surplus yards.
Some are T55s. Some are T60/80 series but the percentage of those has dropped after a spike due to using up the good turbines. Some are busted T72s.

Any idea instead of spamming cropped images, OP?

Funnily both Ukraine and Russia are kinda limited on "new" T-72's, Ukes now mostly getting new Czech tanks and Russia refurbishing into their T-72LGBTQ++ obr. 2025 tanks

    Here's the actual article:

    https://bulgarianmilitary.com/amp/2023/11/09/russian-army-received-1900-tanks-and-another-200-are-expected/

    And from the article:
    >Sergey Chemiezov, the director of Russia’s state-owned company Rostec, has declared a substantial increase in the nation’s tank production in 2023, escalating by a striking seven-fold, as stated in various Russian media outlets.

So they want 1900 new tanks, they don't have 1900 new tanks.

Also, surprising that pozziya is into "diversity." Didn't really get that impression. Maybe they are secretly breeding Black-vatnik super hybrid tanks ..? The advanced genetic engineering might finally solve that running-in-reverse problem.

And somehow all these shitskins are starting to pull more successes than russians, ask the people from their space program.

            What's the manga?
Also... yeah. Basically that's what is slowly happening. People somehow haven't caught on yet. But while Russia tried to break NATO by funding far left and far right movements in its countries, the actual polarization it caused hasn't been nearly enough to break the alliance in any notable way, quite the opposite. And meanwhile, this has made previously taboo topics far less taboo as the centrist parties radicalize to counter the rise of extremists. With a pretty stark resurgence of nationalistic and anti-third-world sentiment.
And now that Russia has positioned itself as an adversary and its funding avenues have started getting cut in EU we're seeing their allies loose weight on the polls and elections while we're left with the previously moderate parties galvanized by the new rhetoric and given a clear enemy to stabilize against.
Great effing job Russia. You literally gave NATO renewed purpose and took its gloves off. You bloody retards.

MahoAko, funnily enough protagonist perfectly catches current West in the sense her civilian persona is that of a tame girl who would get stomped by a kinder because she tries to have standards and be nice, her villain persona on the other hand is a depraved sadist who could stomp everyone into the ground in the most humiliating way (and she does exactly that), a chunk of the story is about her coming to recognize that other suppressed persona, even its need when you see we sadly still live in a world where many people still believe in the "law of the jungle".

Spain doesn't deserve to be there. They've done literally nothing.

Matama alternate name is "Loco Musica", the alternative flag may be Italy as it was the next close latin based languages, but well, that would be lame too. If anything think her as a catch-all for all the southern western european countries other than France.

RNC has no spine and has no fucking idea what to do about Trumpism since they have no alternative electorally relevant ideology, policy, personality or even rhetoric to take to an election. They'll endorse him, he just won't win the election because he's turned all of the remaining undecideds against him since 2016 and 2020 and he's already mobilised the base to the greatest extent possible by holding the whole party hostage to his ego. There will be a new record turnout, maybe even a new record vote for him, and he will lose. Then he will claim electoral fraud, lodge some more vexatious court cases without any evidence and try again for a coup, which won't happen. The only question from there is whether he dies before being sent to jail or dies in jail.

In the aftermath, the RNC is going to be left still paralysed by trumpism and unable to cauterise the wound at the cost of a few electoral cycles of unelectability so they can be a serious party with a chance of being electable and governing again afterwards. This will cause a longer term problem for them, since it makes them unelectable indefinitely. They will exist as a protest party while Democrats will become the natural party of government and force through their agenda. Pretty much the only thing that could stop this is Dems getting cocky and reaching too far like they did with Clinton, only worse, resulting in an own goal or Dem voters getting complacent and not turning up to vote, or thirdy party donkey voting.

The UK had something similar happen, minus the personality cult bullshit. Brexit was a sweeping PR success and the resulting obsession with "electability" gutted the political balance so that there's now the tories on the one hand and starmer's we-wish-we-were-the-tories on the other.

Pretty much what I posted in a different thread. When people think of Trump now, they think about the die hard MAGApedo they work with or know in their social circle. These people were some of the most annoying fucks for 4-6 years. Making it even hard to agree with some of Trumps policies.

People are going to do everything to avoid that again and hopefully put Trumpism away for good. And most traditional republicans feel the same, they just want him out of the picture.

          >the t-80 is said to be worse than the t-72.
T-80s are the most advanced model of tank the russians have ever made (barring protoshit like T-14 Armata)
it was created to be the high tech expensive counterpart to the cheaper low tech T-72, and considering the T-90 is just a slightly modernized T-72, the T-80 is more advanced than the T-90 as well.

            Anonymous

Not really. T-72 was originally the cheapo counterpart to T-64, but rapidly evolved beyond that. T-80 was meant to be the next high-quality tank, but ultimately T-72 and T-80 ended up being modernised in parallel to such a degree that they ended up neck to neck. And then the USSR imploded and the Russians picked the T-72/90 plattform to get priority.

I had met a lot of them in SEA before the war. Imagine the mental state of a 50 y.o. Karen from a small town that was beaten by her husband-cop 2 times a week for 25 years. She will match a russian mentality a lot - Stockholm syndrome as a pride, victim/oppressor dichotomy as a worldview, a necessity to suppress internal suffering and insecurity by alcohol and deviant behavior. One of them had even unironically shown me the popular Russian meme that was a grey Zimbabwe-tier street view with a signature like "haha I live here", which explains a lot.

They aren't that bad. I did my LDS mission in Russia back in 2010. Most Russians I spoke with were very nice, I had trouble making headway with the word of wisdom. I wish they understood the sacred nature of democracy and freedom. That is what is so sad about this war, my dad was mission president when the Kiev temple was completed. The people of the Ukraine and Russia have so much in common. But I guess only the Ukrainians have seen the light and have moved towards freedom. I pray, I know that Russians will rise up and have the God given freedom they deserve.

This is some brilliant analysis, it's literally the strategy any outclassed opponent has to follow, it's not like it's a choice. In Russia's case, it's usually a repressive dictatorship so it assumes it can force more of its unfortunate population into the slaughterhouse. Calling this is a strategy is like calling driving nails with your forehead because you don't have a hammer carpentry.

Honestly we could do as the vatniks do (except better), and find some M60s and overhaul them for the Ukies. I feel like the Israelis did some M60 or M48 modernization at some point, and they'd fucking smash on the poop puccia is digging up.

        Anonymous

Modernized M60 may do fine against T-62 and T-55, but it'd just make some dead Ukrainians against a T-90M.

Plus why, when we have like 3000 Abrams. We could send another 200.

Aside from, as another anon said, Abrams. The biggest issue with M60 refurbishing, is that refurbishing them up to western standards would be expensive enough that by that price you might as well just build one of the cheaper vehicles. Think Centauro, or Striker, or M10. Basically any light tank, wheeled gun carriage or the like.
Sure they wouldn't be as good as an Abrams. But they'd still be better than a refurbished M60 and for a comparable price. So you might as well.

And honestly I'd say we SHOULD be sending the Ukies that stuff. Sure the french ones didn't exactly perform as expected. But the french ones are garbage compared with most, and besides if you're gonna do a vehicle flood some of them getting messed up is expected and almost intended, so long as the crew survives they still get out of there with valuable experience, something the Russians sure as shit never do. That's why Russia never had tank aces. Their crews just die.

The subject of how the planned economy fucked with the general incentive to be productive in the sssr is a real rabbit hole of the micro- and macro factors that go into having a healthy economy. You had factory bosses actively refusing new machines that would increase production because it would lead to higher quotas, if a factory met the quota for a year they would halt production to prevent higher quotas next year or if they couldn't meet it they'd try to undershoot it as much as they could get away with etc. A former citizen told me people in his city didn't care about earning higher salaries because there was a general lack of luxury goods to buy with that money and all base goods were affordable with the state mandated entry salary, so there was no point unless you managed to rise above the threshold into party official-levels of wealth and could buy western goods

How many tanks is Ukraine producing, if any?

      Anonymous

Probably next to none, but it doesn't matter. Ukraine's defence industry is in the West.

None at this point, they are maintaining what they have and getting replacements from the west.

Ukraine has produced more Russian tanks by capturing them than Russia has produced.

Tanks are death machines. They move slow, they're loud and big, and are not immune to the weapons that every infantry squad is carrying. Tanks are effectively a waste of resources compared to drones and artillery.

      Anonymous

if you extrapolate hard enough, you could probably argue that the Army branch is a waste of resources and that 90% of the fighting will be done by the Air Force, Navy, Space Force, and SOCOM.

The only thing the Army will be used for is occupation and policing captured territory.

The army operates the artillery, though.

Give it 15 years and the future of warfare will be a helicopter drone air lifting and dropping a drone artillery piece with a 20+ round autoloader with guided shells.
Then picking it back up after it's run out of ammunition or even being able to drop a second reloading drone which carries 50+ rounds of ammunition and is able to reload the autoloader of the artillery piece.

I hope the US keeps all this old junk in boneyards because one day we'll have humanoid robots that can just drive everything and we wouldn't have to be concerned with how obsolete it is.

modern warfare is a clusterfuck of weapon systems, all of which need to work in tandem, tanks have a place, the enemy can counter them, but they have to triple backflip through flaming hoops to do so which wastes a lot of their resources

It's still 1900 new tanks hitting the battlefield and offsetting losses. Yes it's a finite resource but so are Ukrainian reserves.

      >it's still 1900 tanks hitting the battlefield
      No it really isn't

      Here's the actual article:

      https://bulgarianmilitary.com/amp/2023/11/09/russian-army-received-1900-tanks-and-another-200-are-expected/

      And from the article:
      >Sergey Chemiezov, the director of Russia’s state-owned company Rostec, has declared a substantial increase in the nation’s tank production in 2023, escalating by a striking seven-fold, as stated in various Russian media outlets.

So they want 1900 new tanks, they don't have 1900 new tanks.

    It clearly says
    >1900 tanks
    not
    >1900 new tanks
because not even mentally incapacitated would dare to call T-62 a new tank.
We already knew that they restored about 700 old tanks from their boneyards and make another ~200 per year, which sums up to roughly 2k in two years, yes.
    Now what was your point?

It means new as in newly produced, not new as in new design.

It’s basically an aggregate website that makes revenue by autogenerating stories from worldwide military news.
If North Korea makes a shitty missile that explodes during the test, and they say it is a success, bulgarianmilitary will just publish the Nork press release and carry it as fact.
      They’re a clickfarm.

This is huge. The West needs to step it up if they want to stop the Russian War machine. It took WAY too long for F-16s and Abrams. Send another 320 Abrams and 710 Brads. More F-16s, HARMS, ammo for HIMARS, and better drones than switchblade. Predator drones please.
