$1.7M holy grail of belt feds

check out this unicorn. serial #2 M240 bravo pre 86 transferable is going for $1.7M on Gun Broker. it’s unfired and in mint condition. is it worth the price it’s going for? would you buy it? it seems way too high in my opinion.

for what it’s worth you could get an FFL/SOT, convert a semi auto version, and still spend a fraction of the asking price. I’m sure it’ll find the right owner soon.

If he put it up at a reputable auction house it'd probably pull a couple hundred grand. 1.7 mil is insanity.

For what it's worth you could literally start a new arms corporation, design and build a better and more modern machine gun, and start selling it to Poland and the Saudis, turning a profit.

    >going for
    it’s not going anywhere
neat though, I’d imagine someone with 2 million to throw at a gun would have a lot of options to obtain such things

it's pointless in the same way as paying hundreds of thousands for an E-Type with 10 miles on it, you can't do anything with it because it'll lose most of its value

$15,398 is better than 1.7 mil

You can buy over 100 of the semi auto ones for the price of what he's asking. It's never going to sell and the boomer is just going to keep relisting for eternity

    >1.7mil
Jesus Christ it literally does not matter what gun, boomers on gunbroker are always asking for way too much

You can afford an FFL 07 sot for over 3000 years for the price he's asking.

    lolno, that's just nuts.
I've been following high-end auctions for years. Finding a transferrable MG that sells for 5 figures is easy. 6 figures is rare. 7 figures is unheard of for NFA stuff, though happens rarely for guns with major historical interest, like the "Danish Sea Captain" Colt Walker that sold a few years ago for 1.8 mil.
IMHO that gun *might* fetch a couple hundred k, but over a mil is just insane for a gun like that.

If I were a multimillionaire I certainly would buy a lot of fancy guns but I wouldn't buy that, the price is just nuts.

        lol, that's even more nuts.
I don't think I've ever seen an MG sell for more than the low 300k. That happened twice, both were very special FG-42s.

The NFA will be ruled unconstitutional in the next few years.

    >M240
It's an FN MAG with a M240B barrel installed, not a full M240
